Industry Awards Night -

 HRNSW Industry Awards Night

 The HRNSW Industry Awards night is held annually following the completion of the racing season, to celebrate the achievements of leading participants and horses. The most recent Industry  Awards night was held at Doltone House, Pyrmont, on Saturday 29th October, 2011 and featured entertainment from comedian Tahir and popular Sydney band Papa Groove. Racing Super Sprints -

Super Sprint Series

Initiated in 2009, the Super Sprint Series supports a new racing format with heats and finals conducted over sprint journeys. This fast paced and exciting series is a fantastic viewing spectacle showing the enormous speed and energy the sport has to offer. In 2011, the series was sponsored by Trots TV and featured heats at Bankstown, Newcastle and TABCorp Park Menangle with three $25,000 finals at Penrith on November 4 2011.

Carnival of Cups - Oct 2011 to July 2012

Harness Racing NSW initiated the Carnival of Cups racing event series in 2006 to increase participation and promote harness racing across NSW. In 2007 the Carnival of Cups series was established with eight Tab and Non-Tab clubs participating. For the 2011/2012 season, the series has grown to include 27, with over $1.6M being invested into prizemoney from HRNSW, clubs and sponsors across the series.

The Carnival of Cups has quickly established feature community events across NSW with each meeting promoting local businesses and providing plenty of family and trackside entertainment.  Click here to view the schedule for the series.

 

  

 Carnival of Cups Points Score Tally Bonuses

For the third season, HRNSW will conduct Horse, Trainer and Driver Point Score Tally bonuses across all 27 Club Carnival of Cups events. The point scores are available to view by clicking here. Scores are based on three points for 1st, two for 2nd and one for 3rd and are current after the running of the Blayney COC meeting held on April 29, 2012.

At each Carnival of Cups meeting this season, one entrant will be drawn to go into the final draw to win a $10,000 travel voucher. Each event winner will be asked to attend the prestigous 2012 Awards night to have 1 in 27 chance of drawing the winning voucher. Entry is free and found in Carnvial of Cups racebooks on the day. Newcastle Mile – Newcastle International Paceway - 13 November -

  Newcastle Mile – Newcastle International Paceway - 5 November

  The Newcastle Mile, run in November each year, is the biggest meeting at the track and brings in a huge crowd of 10,000 spectators.

  The Newcastle International Paceway has earned a reputation as “The Lightning Track” with some sizzling performances and race results which show that most horses produce their best times when stepping out onto this spacious track. The 940 metre track is considered one of the best tracks in Australia.
