RACE 1 – CAFE LADIES TROTTERS MOBILE – 1770 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed slightly due to a gear adjustment being completed on Sally Em.

DOLLYS LAW – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced and galloped at the 300m when HOLD MY HAT DOUG galloped ahead of the mare. 

HOLD MY HAT DOUG – Pre-race swab sample. Galloped clear of interference racing off the back straight on the final occasion and a warning was issued.

KYVALLEY FINN – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. After it was reported the gelding to be making respiratory noises throughout.  

PHARISEE – Post-race swab sample.

JAKARTA NZ– Galloped out and will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Galloped at the 1000m and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – MGA INSURANCE BROKERS PACE– 1770 metres 

JACKS UP – Post-race swab sample. 

WHY NOT SURF – Pre-race swab sample. 

POLKA DOT DANCE NZ – Galloped in the score up and a warning was issued. 

OUR THUNDER – Inconvenienced when taken back through the field by ALL STAR MAGICIAN, when that horse commenced to give ground at the 600m. 

ALL STAR MAGICIAN – ($2.50/8th position beaten 24m) contacted its own sulky wheels throughout. Over-raced during the early and middle stages. Driver Lleyton Green explained he contributed the performance to the gelding contacting its own sulky wheels and resulting in it over-racing. Mr Green further advised that All Star Magician raced in its usual sulky this evening and advised that connections would make the appropriate adjustments if ALL STAR MAGICIAN was to race at a track with similar circumference. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

 

RACE 3 – GLEN MIA (ACT) SADDLERY PACE – 1770 metres 

RED ROCK – Inconvenienced when MISS BALLET hung in a contacted marker pegs at the 900m.  

MORRIS BROWN – The inside sulky wheel contacted on various occasions between the 400m and 200m from the runner which was trailing, WHEN TO FOLDEM.

MISS BALLET – Hung in and contacted marker pegs at the 900m. Checked upon entering the home straight due to WHEN TO FOLDEM falling to the track.

WHEN TO FOLDEM – Driver Taylah Osmond pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1) (a) with the particulars of the charge being, that passing the 250m Miss Osmond drove forward and allowed WHEN TO FOLDEM to improve forward, resulting in that runner contacting the inside sulky wheel of MORRIS BROWN and WHEN TO FOLDEM falling to the track a short distance after. The licence of Miss Osmond to drive in races was suspended for a period of 21 days. In assessing penalty the panel was mindful of the high degree of carelessness shown by Miss Osmond in this incident, which resulted in WHEN TO FOLDEM falling. The suspension was ordered to commence midnight 15th May 2024 and Miss Osmond was advised of her rights of appeal. 

NONEWS IS GOODNEWS – Checked upon entering the home straight on the final occasion due to WHEN TO FOLDEM falling.  

BULLI BELLE – Inconvenienced when MISS BALLET hung in a contacted marker pegs at the 900m.  

WHERE BACK– Pre-race swab sample.

NIFTY SCHOOBEE - Checked upon entering the home straight on the final occasion due to WHEN TO FOLDEM falling

 

RACE 4 – OSKAR MEMORIALS PACE – 1770 metres

TAPANGA MISS – Pre-race swab sample.

SHEZA LENNY – Inconvenienced when MAJOR JAMANE hung in and lost ground at the 900m.

CANT HEAR YOU – Galloped in the second attempt of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Galloped clear of interference turning into the back straight on the first occasion checking SATIN BANYULA, a warning was issued. Took no competitive part in the event thereafter.

PRINCE LOUIE – Galloped in the score up causing a false start at the first attempt. PRINCE LOUIE was placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Post-race swab sample.

LARA TIARA – Hung in and contacted marker pegs at the 900m and paced roughly for a short distance. 

SATIN BANYULA - Checked prior to the start when CANT HEAR YOU galloped. Declared a late scratching at 7:35pm after being denied a fair start.

MAJOR JAMANE - Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs. This examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Inconvenienced after the start when CANT HEAR YOU galloped. Hung in at various stages and was placed on its last chance to race truly.

 

RACE 5 – ACT TYREPOWER BELCONNEN MAIDEN PACE – 1770 metres

BUMPY J NZ – Hung out after the start and then hung out at various stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. A last chance to race truly was issued.

NIXSUN – Pre-race swab sample. 

JUSTADIVA – Post-race swab sample.

ZINSSAR – Paced roughly at the 600m.

 

RACE 6 –TAB.COM PACE – 2170 metres

ALABAMA LIONESS – Post-race swab sample.

SPORTS NARRATOR – When leading shied and veered out racing the past the winning on multiple occasions. A warning was issued against the racing manners of SPORTS NARRATOR 

ZEN MASTER – Pre-race swab sample. Inconvenienced when SPORTS NARRARTOR veered out at the 1600m. Over-raced during the early and middle stages. 

DAT LOVELY – Inconvenienced when SPORTS NARRARTOR veered out at the 1600m. 

SIX AGAIN – Inconvenienced when SPORTS NARRARTOR veered out at the 1600m. 

JEKAMIAS NZ – Inconvenienced when SPORTS NARRARTOR veered out at the 1600m.

ARENA QUEEN – Re-included in the mobile barrier draw. Inconvenienced when SPORTS NARRARTOR veered out at the 1600m.

 

RACE 7 – PACIFIC FACILITIES GROUP PACE– 1770 metres 

CATCHINGCONFIDENCE – Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

MARVELLA – Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room in the home straight. 

BACKINTOWN – Pre-race swab sample. 

KNOCKAWARWON NZ – Inconvenienced at the 600m when trailing STORMY RAIDER after that horse commenced to give ground. 

HEZ ON THE BUZZER NZ – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

 

RACE 8 – LONSDALE AUTO ELECTRICS TROTTERS MOBILE - 1770 metres

ILLUSORY FEAT – Galloped in the score up causing a false start at the first attempt. Placed outside the mobile barrier draw. 

MAJESTIC PHILLY NZ – Pre-race swab sample. Galloped at the second attempt of the score up and a warning was issued. Galloped at the 1000m and a warning was issued. 

RACING EYES – Galloped at the 400m and a warning was issued. 

DOWN UNDER EARL – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion. Driver Will Rixon reprimanded for shifting ground after allowing DOWN UNDER EARL to shift ground outwards in the home straight.

 

RACE 9 – AV STONE MARBLE & GRANITE 3YO PACE - 1770 metres

THANKS BE TO GOD – Hung in during the early stages of the score up.
