RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1740 metres

 

CAN FEEL THE FURY NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

BRACKEN WARRIOR – Hung-in rounding the turn from near the 400 metres.

NIFTY RONALD – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres.

MAJOR HUSS – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

 

RACE 2 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – RIVERINA HEAT 1 – 2270 metres

 

HY POACTIVE – Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sampled.

KAITOA – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

AMBIGUOUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1600 metres. Tired over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Driver N Jack was given the opportunity to comment on the performance of the gelding, he stated that after working forward three wide in the early stages, it pulled very hard which effected its chances to be able to finish the race off.

TE QUIRO – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

WILD IMAGINTION – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1400 metres.

 

RACE 3 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – RIVERINA HEAT 2 – 2270 metres

 

DONNIE MAC – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

JOYCIES LAD – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1600 metres.

MY ULTIMATE SKEETA – Pre-race swab sampled.

CAPTAIN TOM – Post-race swab sampled.

WEONA BRANACH – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event, for which a warning was issued, before tiring over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities, although the mare did have a slower than normal post-race recovery. Driver J Locke was given the opportunity to comment on the performance of the mare, he stated that she pulled-hard and he was unable to get her to settle. He added that near the 600 metres he felt she made an abnormal breathing noise and he shifted her out three wide to allow her to stride forward but she began to tire a short distance later.

 

RACE 4 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – RIVERINA HEAT 3 – 2270 metres

 

HERE COMES BOBBY – Tightened for room and inconvenienced when racing to the inside of MORESCO approaching the 1800 metres and contacted a number of marker pegs. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

GOODTIME JUNIOR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

MORESCO – Driver T Osmond was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 1800 metres she shifted the mare in when not sufficiently clear of HERE COMES BOBBY which was tightened for room and inconvenienced.

CAPTAINS CATCH – Post-race swab sampled.

GOD BLESS YOU – Pre-race swab sampled.

MOST TRIUMPHANT – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres.

 

RACE 5 – YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres

 

BUBBA SCRUB NZ – Post-race swab sampled.

ESCALERA NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Worked forward to take over the lead from BUBBA SCRUB NZ near the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 6 – HARNESS TRADING RING PACE – 1740 metres

 

DUST TO DIAMONDS – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 13 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Post-race swab sampled.

OURMATE GEEJAY – Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

CARMEN ON BLING – Pre-race swab sampled. Driver N Horan dropped his whip near the 100 metres.

FAMILY TREE – Broke gait after the start, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to have a number of welts on its rump. An inquiry into Trainer/Driver A Dean’s actions with the gelding following the race was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

GLAMOUR FOX – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – BOOTS CIVIL ENGINEERING PACE – 1740 metres

 

EYES FOR DOLLARS – Driver R Lemon was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(i) for failing to bring the gelding up into position behind the barrier by the time the candy pole was reached.

MOST CERTAIN MICKY – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position on the marker pegs at the rear of the field near the 1200 metres.

HILLY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.

DIDNT I – Pre-race swab sampled. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 800 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 8 – HYGAIN 3YO MAIDEN PACE – 1740 metres

 

BLAZING – Hung-out after the start. Tired over the concluding stages of the event.

THE MAYNE MARA – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of SPIRIT LEVEL approaching the 200 metres and contacted marker pegs.

SPIRIT LEVEL – Hung-in under pressure rounding the turn approaching the 200 metres.

STARSHINE LADY – Pre-race swab sampled. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the lead from THE MAYNE MARA approaching the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

DEE JAY TWENTY – Tired over the concluding stages of the event.

TUKAHA – Hung-out after the start, and broke gait when being restrained near the 1600 metres, connections were advised that the gelding would be placed on its last chance in the draw.
