RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2030 metres

PAYTONS ROCK NZ – Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

SO AM I – Had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event.  Stewards queried driver J Gallagher in relation to the performance.  Driver J Gallagher explained that it was able to gain a good trail in the race passing the 600 metres however when asked for an effort failed to respond and was disappointing over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

HEAVENLY BELLE – Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event.

PETER FORSBERG NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 2 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY NZ – Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event.  Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.

PERFECT CUT NZ – Driver L Rando was reprimanded under rule 170(1)(a) in that when rounding the final turn when releasing gear allowed his foot to drop below the foot rest of the sulky.  Driver L Rando was further fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(7) in that when applying the whip over the concluding stages on one occasion allowed to protrude from the sulky attempting to strike the wheel disk.  Post-race sample was taken.

CUT GLASS NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 3 – HAPPY 18TH HAYLEY HUDSON PACE – 1609 metres

LACEYS LAD NZ – Had a tendency to race roughly as the field rounded the final turn.

SHADES OF HEAVEN – Slow away as the start was affected.

HEAVENLY HOLLY – Shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish had a tendency to shift up the track slightly.  Sustained a contact to the off side wheel.  Post-race sample was taken.

SPORTY DANCER – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

DADNDAVE NZ – Sustained a contact to the front legs shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish and was hampered.

ASHARK – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 4 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – HUNTER HEAT 1 – 2030 metres

MAJOR MICKEY – Contacted marker pegs as the field raced down the home straight on the final occasion.

ASHLEYS BLUECHIP – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MAN FROM BRAAVOS – Post-race sample was taken.

KARAOKE KING – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

APACHE WHITESOX – Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

RAINBOW JET – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – HUNTER HEAT 2 – 2030 metres

MAJOR REASON – Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

ABSTRACT ART – Contacted its own sulky throughout the run causing it to over race severely throughout the early and middle stages of the event.  A warning was issued.

WAYOUTWEST – Pre-race sample was taken. 

ROCLEA IMAGE – Hampered prior to the field entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

LIGHTNING BOB – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

DUGGEE SLOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

NIGHT TO REMEMBER – Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event.  Driver T Ison was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when rounding the final turn permitted his runner to shift up the track which hampered the running of NYOTA and upon correction when shifting back down the track checked the running of NEVER KNOW BLAZE which raced roughly for a short distance.

NYOTA – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

NEVER KNOW BLAZE – Checked and raced roughly prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

 

RACE 6 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – HUNTER HEAT 3 – 2030 metres

JEFFCOATE – Checked and locked wheels as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

METALLICA MAN – Commenced to weaken racing down the home straight with 1100 metres remaining and failed to finish the event.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Driver T Ison believed in his opinion there may have been a cardiac event causing his runner to be unable to finish the event.  Stewards ordered that METALLICA MAN be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion in addition to a veterinary certificate of fitness including the results of an ECG and an endoscopic examination.

CRAFTMANS CHARLIE – Post-race sample was taken.

PARATROUPER – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Checked as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

CORAL STRIDE – Had a tendency to over race whilst outside of the leader throughout the early and middle stages.

POPSTAROMAR – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.  Driver J Gallagher was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(c)(i) in that when over the concluding stages attempted a run along the marker pegs and contacted marker pegs when there was insufficient room to progress through.

CLASSICMAJOR – Contacted marker pegs and raced roughly entering the first turn.  Had a tendency to over race throughout the middle stages of the event.

SHIRALEE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Checked and locked wheels racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

BAT MATSON – Driver M Formosa was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being affected.

 

RACE 7 – JOHN TAYLOR MEMORIAL – 1609 metres

SALLY BIGTIME – Pre-race sample was taken.  Held up in the early stages of the run to the finish.

SPUNKS GOTSECRETS – Slow away as the start was affected.

IGNITE THE FIRE – Tightened shortly after the start was affected.

HOT JIVING – Driver A Delosa was advised to take greater care in that shortly after the start closed down the track and restricted the racing room of IGNITE THE FIRE.  Obtained inside running at the top of the home straight.  Post-race sample was taken.

COUNTRY MAJOR – Driver T Ison was fined the sum of $200 under rule 162(1)(www) in that when rounding the final turn entering the home straight for the run to the finish failed to make any effort to prevent his runner shifting up the track which allowed passage for HOT JIVING to progress through to its inside.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

SWEET ROCKY – Post-race sample was taken.

NGAIRE ANNE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

DRIVING MISS MOLLY – Out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

AUTHENTIC – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

CRUZNFRANKIE – Driver J Bond pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the first turn permitted his runner to close down the track which restricted the racing room of SEACRAFT whereas a result was checked and broke stride.  Driver J Bond’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 14 days.  When considering penalty Stewards took into account his good record in relation to interference and guilty plea.

SEACRAFT – Checked and broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.

SCHEFFLER – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.

ROLLING WITH VAL – Driver A Bourke was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the final turn allowed his runner to shift down the track restricting the racing room of SCHEFFLER whereas a result that runner was checked.

 

RACE 9 – MATES4HARNESS TWO YHEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres

TRUNKY TATTERS – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start was affected.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.   Connections also advised it would be the intention for it now to be spelled.

POINT LOOKOUT NZ – Had a tendency to race roughly entering the first turn and negotiating the first turn.  Driver J Coney was cautioned in relation to shifting down the track and restricting the racing room of TRUNKY TATTERS and then in turn restricting the racing room of LITTLE WHIPPET which was progressing along the marker pegs.  Post-race sample was taken.

BLING THE KASH – Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up after being somewhat green racing up to the mobile and was out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

WALTER WARLOCK – Tightened for racing room racing down the home straight on the first occasion.

ZEUSS – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to race ungenerously throughout the event by way of hanging in which at a point racing down the home straight on the first occasion restricted the racing room of WALTER WARLOCK.  Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

LITTLE WHIPPET – Broke stride whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 10 – HRNSW GUARANTEED TWO YEAR OLD FILLIES PACE – 1609 metres

NEVER KNOW REASON – Driver R Atkins pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish permitted his runner to shift wider on the track without the required clearance over ARTEMISSIA whereas a result contacted that runner’s front legs causing it to be checked and broke stride.  Driver R Atkins’ licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 14 days.  When considering penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea in addition to his driving record in relation interference.

FEISTY TIGER – Out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised it would continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

ARTEMISSIA – Raced roughly shortly after the start was affected.  Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event.  Checked and broke stride as the field entered the home straight for the run to the finish.
