Team Teal Campaign Raises Over $50,000 for WomenCan Initiative

More than $50,000 was raised across New South Wales for the 2025 Team Teal campaign making a significant contribution to the WomenCan initiative.

With an impressive 79 driving wins and 77 training wins throughout the campaign, a total of $53,400 was raised to support WomenCan, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising vital funds for gynaecological cancer research and education, helping improve outcomes for women impacted by these diseases.

The success of the campaign highlights the strong commitment of participants and supporters in raising funds for this important cause. Each win by a female participant – whether driving or training – contributed directly to advancing research and providing critical support to women battling cancer.

“We are incredibly proud of the generosity and spirit shown by all involved in this year’s Team Teal campaign,” said Harness Racing New South Wales Chief Executive Peter Buckman.

“The funds raised will go a long way in supporting WomenCan’s mission to fund essential cancer research and create positive change for women’s health.

“We would like to thank all the drivers, trainers, and supporters who helped contribute to this year’s campaign.”

From February 1 to March 15, reinswomen wore teal driving pants to raise awareness of the cause, with HRNSW’s pledge to donate $200 to WomenCan for every female trained and/or driven in the state as well as an additional $200 for every ambassador win.

The NSW ambassadors this year were KerryAnn Morris, Ashleigh Delosa, Jemma Coney, Grace Panella, Olivia Frisby, Amanda Turnbull, Taylah Osmond and Ellen Jones.

Adding to this, Club Menangle as well as the Newcastle and Tamworth Harness Racing Clubs, also raised funds throughout the campaign.
