AT just the age of 23 reinsman Todd McCarthy is undoubtedly having his best season to date.
He achieved the feat of driving 500 winners last night at Penrith (August 18) and this milestone was reached when the two-year-old Western Stride broke through for his first victory.
This season alone Todd has driven 186 winners, which includes his first Group One winner, and looks set to take out the New South Wales Drivers Premiership.
The talented reinsman is also the leading concession driver in the state and is in front in the Metropolitan Drivers Premiership too, just two wins ahead of his older brother Luke.
