The Dubbo Harness Racing Club launched its annual Stallion Tender Auction on the Club’s social media last Sunday and already, there has been keen bidding on the stallion services on offer.
A number of Studs have been generous in providing Services to their stallions with the proceeds going towards the $30,000 prizemoney which will be on offer for the Red Ochre Mares Classic to be run as part of the Dubbo Harness Racing Club’s Carnival of Cups that will be held on Friday night, December 18.
Club President, Len Edwards said that despite the very trying times through the Covid pandemic, his Board was keen to continue the tradition of running Dubbo’s signature race , the Red Ochre which holds Group 3 status this season.
“We are still unsure if we can host a crowd for our Carnival of Cups due to the Covid restrictions but want to keep faith and reward the many owners and trainers who have stuck by our Club since we started racing again in June. We will still be providing almost $100,000 in prizemoney and trophies for our feature meeting in December” said a proud Mr Edwards.
“I want to make special mention of the Stud owners who continue to support our Red Ochre, without them, we would not be able to conduct such a big race. And to those local sponsors too, for again committing to sponsoring the Carnival Of Cups, it is a mighty effort on their part and we are always very grateful to them”, said Len.
Included in this year’s Stallion Tender are services to What The Hill from Woodlands Stud, Tintin In America - Yirribee Stud, Control The Moment and Foreclosure - KTC Bloodstock, Village Jolt - Lochend Stud, Luck Be Withyou and Centurion ATM - Trump Bloodstock, Soho Tribeca - Northern Rivers Equine , Guaranteed - Goodtime Lodge and Ohoka Punter from Egmont Park Stud.

Tenders close at 5.00pm this Friday, September 11.
