Top NSW trainers and drivers

IN a racing season like none other the 2019/20 term produced some record-breaking results but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the season was 16 months’ long.

Champion reinsman Luke McCarthy claimed the New South Wales Drivers’ Premiership with a record 232 wins, his best season to date.
The same can be said for Craig Cross who won the New South Wales Trainers’ Premiership with 285 wins.
Young driver Cameron Hart also had his best season to date in the sulky and his 161 winners in the state made him New South Wales’ Leading Junior Driver.
In the trotting ranks, Blake Fitzpatrick was crowned the Leading Trotting Trainer while Robert Morris was the Leading Trotting Driver.
The Centurions for 2019/20 were Luke McCarthy (232), Robert Morris (180), Cameron Hart (161), Tom Ison (152), Jack Trainor (141), Todd McCarthy (137), Amanda Turnbull (130), Blake Hughes (121), Blake Jones (112) and Jackson Painting (104).
And the training Centurions were Craig Cross (285), KerryAnn Morris (189), Clayton Harmey (158), Bernie Hewitt (120) and Steve Turnbull (115).
