Alchin heads north after winning run

After a winning raid at Menangle on Saturday night NSW horseman Rickie Alchin will return to Queensland to race at Albion Park today.

The Menangle Park conditioner added his fifth Group 1 victory to his record this year when winning Saturday night’s Trot NSW Final with Watts Up Majestic at Menangle (pictured).

Alchin’s evergreen trotter Tough Monarch was also victorious at the meeting, securing his 26^th Menangle win and equalling the most amount of wins by a horse at that venue.

Although Alchin has Lavros Midas Touch starting at Menangle today, he will be handling his team in the north with Girls Are Best and Borsellino stepping out for the stable at Albion Park.

Stablehand Ricky Hunt will drive Alchin’s Menangle starter.
