Trainor the top trainer

9 September 2022

Jack Trainor heads to Menangle on Saturday night leading the Metropolitan Drivers’ Premiership.

The 28-year-old has had a stellar season so far and not only has a driver but training has well.
He has netted three Group 1 winners this year and is on the search for his next feature winner in Saturday night’s Group 3 Norms Daughter Ladyship Stakes.
Trainor has five mares in the race including one of the fancied runners Braeview Kelly that Trainor will drive himself.
His other starters include last start Group 1 winner Town Echo that will be driven by Jack Callaghan, former Queensland mare Jeradas Delight (Josh Gallagher), B K Swy (Jack Brown) and Orchid Stride (Amanda Turnbull).
Trainor is currently running second in the Metropolitan Trainers’ Premiership with 22 wins at the principal track this year.
Leading the charge is horsewoman Belinda McCarthy with 30 Saturday night Menangle winners this season.
McCarthy has four horses racing on Saturday night.
