It is rare not to find reinsman Cameron Hart in the winners’ circle at a Menangle meeting.

The premier driver was at the top again last Saturday night when winning a semi-final of the NSW Breeders Challenge with talented filly Madrid.

The daughter of Bling It On led throughout her qualifier to win in a personal best mile rate of 1:51.8.

“It’s how we wanted it to work out and it did,” said Hart.

“She switched off the last 100m when she couldn’t hear anything but I couldn’t have been happier with her.”

Madrid had a winning margin of more than five metres.

The Jarrod Alchin-trained filly has drawn barrier 10 for the $150,000 final at Menangle this Saturday and with the removal of the two emergencies, could start out of gate eight.

Hart is back in action at Menangle today with five drives.
