Ladies ready to teal up the track

9 February 2023

THE Team Teal campaign started strongly last week with more than $8000 raised towards the cause just in New South Wales alone.

Since February 1, lady drivers across Australasia have been wearing teal coloured driving pants to raise awareness and funds to support women with ovarian cancer.
This is the eighth year NSW has supported the initiative and there is an opportunity for more money to be raised today with meetings at Tamworth and Penrith.
At Tamworth both of the region’s Team Teal ambassadors, Grace Panella and Jemma Coney, will be participating with seven drives each.
Meanwhile at Penrith tonight Sydney ambassador KerryAnn Morris has four horses engaged at the meeting.
Each time a female trained and/or driven horse wins in NSW, Harness Racing NSW donates $200 plus an additional $200 for every ambassador trained and/or driven winner to WomenCan.
The Penrith Club is also supporting the campaign donating a further $100 to all female trained and/or driven winners at that track.
