Jack and his mare ready to create history

In form horseman Jack Trainor and his mare Stylish Memphis will be out to create history at Menangle tonight in the Queen Elizabeth Mile.

Formerly known as the Ladyship Mile, Stylish Memphis has won the last two editions and no other mare in the history of the race has won the feature three times.

Tailamade Lombo, Sabilize, Diamond Debutante, Jodies Babe, Bat Del and Roma Hanover are the only dual winners of the race.

Stylish Memphis will bow out of racing following this start, being in foal to Captaintreacherous.

The six-year-old has not won a race since taking out last year’s edition of the race and subsequently is fourth in the line of betting with Victorian mare Tough Tilly the favourite.

Stylish Memphis’ stablemate Braeview Kelly is the second elect.

Trainor has three mares in the Group 1 with Punt Away also representing his stable.
