Young guns ready to take on the best for a good cause

They have been dominating in the Hunter and now young drivers Grace Panella and Blake Hughes are preparing to step outside their region for a good cause.

With almost 450 wins between them, the pair will take on some of the state’s best in the Invitational Drivers Series at the Flood Relief ’23 meeting in Eugowra on Anzac Day.

Competing against some of likes of Inter Dominion-winning drivers Cameron Hart and Josh Gallagher, Panella and Hughes will be part of an initiative to help raise funds for those affected by floods in NSW’s western region.

Before then, however, Panella and Hughes will compete at Tamworth today.

Panella has seven drives across the program while Hughes will drive in all eight races.

Hughes makes a return to the sulky after being involved in a race fall at Newcastle on April 8.
