Big moment within reach for Blake Jones

5 May 2023

Blake Jones has been one of the leading drivers in the Riverina for some time and he is now chasing a major milestone.

The 33-year-old has 1000 career wins within reach and heads to Riverina Paceway today with 994 wins to his credit.
Jones has six drives across the program, including in each of the TAB Regional Championships Riverina heats.
With a ticket to a $100,000 final on May 19, Jones’ three drives across the qualifiers are Crime Don’t Pay (race six) for trainer Michael Hawke, last start winner Brooklyn Bridge (race seven) and also Be My Girl for trainer Ellen Bartley.
Meanwhile, another Blake searching for a spot in a $100,000 TAB Regional Championship is the Hunter’s Blake Hughes.
The 20-year-old reinsman has four drives at Newcastle tonight including in the second TAB Regional Championships Hunter heat on the Anthony Missen-trained Unsully (race three).
