Gifted pacer steps out for Jack Trainor

New South Wales Derby runner up Naturally Gifted stepped out at the trials for his new connections at Menangle yesterday.

Naturally Gifted was recently sold to USA owner Richard Poillucci for a six-figure sum.

Poillucci has purchased and raced many Australasian horses over the years including Shartin, Nike Franco and Its All About Faith to name a few.

Naturally Gifted, a six-time winner, will stay on in Australia to race for the time being under the guidance of Jack Trainor.

Formerly trained by Wayne Dimech, Naturally Gifted won his official hit-out in 1:52.2.

Meanwhile, Trainor will take last-start winner Some Chevron to Penrith tonight with the gelding to be driven by Jack Brown. The pair will go around in race five.

Brown has six drives across the eight-race card.
