Race 4 BARASTOC PACE – 1609 Metres

Stewards concluded an inquiry into the tactics adopted and the reasons for shifting wider on the home turn on the final occasion with Driver T Robson (ROCKNROLL MAX NZ).

Subsequently T Robson was found guilty of a charge under Rule 149(2) in that when rounding the final turn failed to make any attempt to prevent ROCKNROLL MAX NZ from shifting up the track which allowed clear passage for STYLISH JOE to progress through to the inside along the maker pegs. Stewards deemed driver T Robson’s lack of action through the area particularised to be unacceptable. T Robson’s license to drive in Races was suspended for a period covered by 6 Weeks. When considering penalty stewards took into account his good record in relation to the Rule. T Robson was advised of his rights of Appeal.
