SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT – Bathurst 17^TH April – Race 8

General – Stewards at Bathurst on the 1st of May concluded an inquiry from the above race in relation to JOSEY MINT racing roughly leaving the 400 metres. Driver’s P Wood (JOSEY MINT), M Rue (NEVERTOOLATE) and N Turnbull (ROCK STEADY) gave evidence during the inquiry and the patrol footage was re-viewed. It was established that JOSEY MINT, which was initially inclined to hang-out rounding the turn, was tightened for room when NEVERTOOLATE hung-in slightly. As a result, JOSEY MINT shifted-in away from that runner, and attempted to jump a marker peg and raced roughly as it’s inside sulky wheel contacted marker pegs. Given the circumstances, Stewards were of the view that it was a reportable racing incident.
