RACE 1 – NATHAN XUEREB FARRIER SERVICE GOLD TIARA HEAT 1 - 1730metres

LONDON BABY – Trainer A. Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form. Pre-race blood sample.

OUR SPECIAL MEMORY – Driver N. Jack was advised that he must modify his whip action to ensure he complies with the whip rules. Post-race swab sample.

OUR ULTIMATE STORMY NZ – Stewards questioned Driver C. Hart in regards to the performance of the filly ($1.50 Favourite) which weakened from the 700 metres to be beaten 50 metres. C. Hart stated that the filly travelled well during the early and middle stages of the event however when crossed by PERSONIFIED near the 700 metres the filly continued to lose ground and in his opinion was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the performance the filly will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

FORESIGHT – Galloped out at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

DEAR DARLING – Tired over the final 300 metres. A warning was issued. Will now be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

THE HEATS ON LEXY – Pre-race blood sample. Tired from the 600 metres to be beaten 90 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the performance the filly will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

RACE 2 – ULTRA AIR GOLD TIARA HEAT 2– 1730metres

OUR ULTIMATE ROXY NZ – Trainer J. Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late notification of driver.

MAMMALS GIRL – Near the 600 metres raced roughly.  A warning was issued.

SPICYSHANNON – Trainer M. Elder was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form. Driver B. Hughes was advised that he must modify his whip action to comply with the whip rules.

SHE THE DEVIL – Trainer A. Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form. Pre-race blood sample. Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

OUR AUNTY BELMA – Near the 1600 metres became unbalanced and galloped. In view of the filly’s record it will be stood down until it can complete 2 satisfactory trials and for a period of 14 days.

PEACE OUT – Pre-race blood sample. Driver L. Green was advised that he must modify his whip action to comply with the whip rules. Post-race swab sample.

ROSA DUNDEE – Raced roughly at various stages of the event.

RACE 3 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS GOLD TIARA HEAT 3 – 1730metres

SOMETHING FOR LEXY – Pre-race blood sample.

AVA LEANNE – Pre-race blood sample. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due an incident and the tie up stalls and was cleared to start. Hung in under pressure over the final 150 metres.

GET US A TINNY – Tired over the final 500 metres.

OUR DANCE MONKEY – Trainer A. Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form.

THE SWIFT ONE – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – ULTRA AIR GOLD TIARA HEAT 4 – 1730metres

GUNNA RELOAD – Pre-race blood sample.

SENSATIONALIZE – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 5 – GLEN MIA SADDLERY HONDO GRATTAN SPRINT – 1730metres

MAN MOUNTAIN – Pre-race blood sample.

BERITE JONES NZ – Near the 250 metres when weakening Driver L. Green had his helmet contacted by SAINT VERAN. Driver M. Turnbull was reminded of his obligations in relation to trailing to close to the runners forward of him.

IAM THE CAPTAIN – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

JEWEL MELODY – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR GOLD TIARA HEAT 5 – 1730metres

DOLLY ROCKET – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

ROCKA JEWEL – Pre-race blood sample. Raced roughly after the start.

CRUSADER MISS – Trainer R. Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form. Near the 200 metres was checked and broke.

WICKED SUSAN – Pre-race blood sample.

KIMA – Driver L. McCarthy was found guilty of a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 200 metres he allowed his filly to shift down the track when not clear of CRUSADER MISS and as a result that filly was tightened for room and was checked and broke. L. McCarthy’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence at midnight 29^th March 2024. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account Mr. McCarthy’s good driving record (2500 drives since last suspension) his not guilty plea, and the degree of interference. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 7 – NATHAN XUEREB FARRIER SERVICE GOLD TIARA HEAT 6 – 1730metres

SEEKING PLEASURE – Pre-race blood sample.

BITTERSWEET – Post-race swab sample.

LAST FLITE – Pre-race blood sample. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after rearing and falling on the track. Cleared to start.

FREEDOM ART – Will now be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 8 – HAGNEY ELECTRICAL HONOUREE STAKES HEAT 1 – 1730metres

COLLECTIVE WORKS – Trainer R. Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form. Stewards questioned Driver R. Alchin in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened over the final 200 metres. R. Alchin stated that the tempo of the event may have been quicker that what is suited to the gelding and furthermore due to being positioned further back he was of the opinion it wasn’t suited. R. Alchin added that he would look to back the gelding up next Wednesday if the gelding recovered well. Stewards noted the comments.

ALTA DOWNS – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

TOSSIES SON NZ – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

RACE 10 – HAGNEY ELECTRICAL HONOUREE STAKES HEAT 3 – 1730metres

UNCLE CRAIGO – Stewards questioned Driver A. Frisby in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened to be beaten 40 metres. A. Frisby stated that he was disappointed with the performance given that it endured an economical run during the event. A. Frisby added that the overall quicker time may have also had a bearing on the overall performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RAINBOW TITAN – Pre-race blood sample.

A ROCKNROLL STAR – Stewards questioned Driver M. Turnbull in regards to the overall performance of the gelding which weakened to be beaten 140 metres. M. Turnbull stated that the gelding wasn’t suited to racing outside the lead throughout the event along with over-racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the performance the gelding will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.
