RACE 1 – ALLIED EXPRESS COURIER SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

IM IN TROUBLE – Pre-race blood sample. 

OUR UNCLE JIM – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

DREAM MAZE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

TUPPENCE – Held up in the stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

CAULONIA COURAGE – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Over raced between the 1900 and the 1300 metres.  Stewards questioned driver Josh Gallagher with regards to the performance of the gelding which tired over the concluding stages to finish in seventh placing beaten 19 metres.  Mr Gallagher advised Stewards that the gelding was his own worst enemy this evening racing very keenly throughout the first half of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After consideration Stewards determined note the comments of Mr Gallagher.

SHEFFIELD SPARKY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

SIR RICHARD LEE – Stewards approved the late application of Mrs KerryAnn Morris to replace herself as the driver of SIR RICHARD LEE due to an unwell family member.  Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – APIAM AGNES BANKS DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING PACE – 1609 metres

CORBIE STUMBLER – Pre-race blood sample.

BLUTO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

SPEED DIAL – Hung out during the latter stages of the score up and raced roughly.  After considering the recent record of the mare a warning was issued.

FREDDY SINGH – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Will Rixon as the driver of the gelding.

RACE 4 – CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

HALSEY NICOLE – Post-race swab sample.

EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Stewards approved the request of trainer Kerry Towers to replace KerryAnn Morris with Luke McCarthy as the driver of the gelding due to a family member of Mrs Morris being unwell.

COUNTRY MAJOR – Pre-race blood sample.

NIFTY RONALD – Stewards questioned driver Taylah Osmond with regards to the performance of the gelding which tired over the concluding stages of the event to finish in ninth placing beaten 39 metres.  Miss Osmond informed Stewards that she it was always the intention to drive the gelding forward in the early stages as she was of the view that she thought she would be able to cross to the fence and lead the event however was unable to do so and as a result was forced to race in the breeze. Miss Osmond further advised that she was not disappointed with the performance of the gelding given it is not suited to race without cover.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After considering the explanation Stewards determined to note the comments of Miss Osmond.

KING BOBBIE – Pre-race blood sample. 

RACE 5 – CHARLIE FURINA MEMORIAL – 1609 metres

MALUKA MISS NZ – Raced roughly upon entry to the first turn and lost ground.  After considering the recent record of the mare a warning was issued.

IM DESIRABLE – Pre-race blood sample.

ILLAVABUBBLES NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – CLUB MENANGLE AUTUMN GIFT FINAL – 1609 metres

GOLDEN BAY NZ – Pre-race blood sample. 

UBETCHA TIGERPIE – Pre-race blood sample. 

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

DOUGS PLATTER – Post-race swab sample.

RICKOSHAY – Hung in and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn.

RACE 7 – GARRARDS FFA – 2300 metres

DOUBLE ENCOUNTER – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts.  The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Pre-race blood sample. 

BONDI LOCKDOWN – Driver Jack Callaghan was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) for forcing a runner wider, in that passing the 1000 metres he shifted away from the marker pegs when FIRE FOX NZ had commenced to improve to his outside causing that runner to me momentarily placed in a three wide position before being restrained to take cover from BONDI LOCKDOWN.

EXPENSIVE EGO – Pre-race blood sample.  Driver Luke McCarthy pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the horse in the home straight in a manner which was not considered to be a wrist only flicking motion.  After considering the recent record of Mr McCarthy, he was fined $400.

HOT AND TREACHEROUS NZ – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 8 – AINSWORTH GAME TECHNOLOGY TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

DROP THE HAMMER – Pre-race blood sample.

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding had competed at Bathurst the night prior.  The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Pre-race blood sample.

ROYAL DAN – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

VICTREE HILL – Trainer Jarrod Alchin was fined $100 under rule 210 for the late notification of Will Rixon as the driver of the gelding.

CONSTANTINOPLE – Worked forward to the lead passing the 100 metres.  Post-race swab sample.
