General: Grant Coelli & David Kennedy pleaded guilty to charges under AHR Rule 159A(1)(a) & 159B(1) the particulars of the charge being whilst carrying out track work on Sunday 31^st March 2024 at a registered stable address Mr Coelli & Mr Kennedy were observed by an HRNSW Compliance officer not wearing a properly affixed helmet & not wearing a properly affixed body protective vest. In assessing penalty Stewards considered the relevant factors as outlined within the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines, Mr Coelli & Mr Kennedy were both fined the sum of $250 for AHR Rule 159A(1)(a) & fined the sum $250 for AHR Rule 159B(1).

RACE 1 –TAB VENUE MODE PACE –1770 metres

ELENNA – Driver Paul Weidenbach was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 162(1)(ww) for his lack of control in allowing the mare to shift outwards over the final 150m. Post-race swab.

RACE 2 – ALBURY PRESENTATION NIGHT 13^TH APRIL PACE –1770 metres 

IN ME TO GRIN – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against IN ME TO GRIN barrier manners. 

TIZZY LIZZIE – Post-race swab. 

WAMBOYEINAMERICA – Tyre deflated of its own accord approaching the 100m placing the gelding at a disadvantaged. 

NIVEKALON PUNTA – Pre-race swab. 

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Over raced during the early stages of the event and hung inwards approaching 1500m when being restrained. 

RACE 3–BRIAN HANCOCK GUEST SPEAKER  –1770 metres 

General: Stewards intend to investigate all relative betting activity in relation to this race. 

MISSDEHEIR – ($1.40 fav) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Jackson Painting was queried into the seemingly improved performance of MISSDEHEIR winner of the event compared to its most recent starts. Mr Painting advised MISSDEHEIR was having its first start for his stable, Mr Painting advised  MISSDEHEIR joined his stable in late January 2024 after its most recent start on 14^th January 2024 in which MISSDEHEIR was treated for ulcers upon arrival & subsequently improved its condition and responded well to his training regime. Mr Painting added MISSDEHEIR had been working well in leading up to the event against fellow stablemates which had recently won races. Mr Painting added MISSDEHEIR had trialled well at Coolamon on 31^st March 2024 which he was confident of a forward performance after drawing a favourable barrier tonight & MISSDEHEIR would be a strong chance on its track work & recent trial. Mr Painting added MISSDEHEIR benefited from an easy first half 63.9 seconds with an overall mile rate of 2.2.8 for the 1770m event. Mr Painting advised he would expect MISSDEHEIR to derive benefit from the performance in having not started for approximately three (3) months & hold its form more consistently going forward. Mr Painting explained he had advised connections that MISSDEHEIR had worked & trialled well leading up to the event and was surprised in the heavy fixed odds support for MISSDEHEIR however was unaware if any connections had supported MISSDEHEIR in the event. SIGNOR JUJON – Pre-race swab. 

NO MORE PROMISES – Over raced during the middle stages of the event. 

HILLY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 races attaining the age of 12 years. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.  

GLAMOUR FOX – Held up and failed to obtain clear running for the entire length of the home straight. 

JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Held up and failed to obtain clear running for the entire length of the home straight. 

RACE 4–MATT THE PRINTER – 1770 metres 

BLUES TERROR – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining a clear run.

MELATI BOY – Driver Bryce Campbell was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 162(1)(ww) for allowing the gelding to shift outwards over the final 100m. 

SCOTTIE MACH – Post-race swab. 

THIS YANKEE ROCKS – Pre-race swab.

 RACE 5 – BERTOLIS ALBURY PACE – 1770 metre

TIPPING POINT – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

EMIKO – Inconvenienced entering the first turn when ROBUST EASTON NZ broke gait. 

SLIPPIN THE LIFE – Post-race swab.

ROBUST EASTON NZ – Hung outwards entering the first turn and when corrected broke gait clear of interference. A warning was issued against the gelding racing manners.

GLAMOUR SYMBOL – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards despite the drivers efforts entering the first turn. 

SYLVIA KAY – Checked entering the first turn when ROBUST EASTON NZ broke gait. 

ACHERON – Checked entering the first turn when ROBUST EASTON NZ broke gait. 

RACE 6 – SUPERIOR TRANSPORT PACE – 1770 metre 

SURAZ – Post-race swab. 

BLAZING – Broke gait clear of interference entering the first turn. A warning was issued against BLAZING racing manners. 

ADIEU MIKENNIS – Pre-race swab. Driver Cameron Maggs pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the filly with more than a wrist flicking action and with overt force. Mr Maggs was fined the sum of $200. 

NORDIC ICE DRIFT – Broke gait clear of interference entering the first turn. A warning was issued against NORDIC ICE DRIFT racing manners. 

RACE 7 – AHRC THANKS VOLUNTEERS FOR CARNIVAL OF CUPS 2024 PACE – 1770 metre 

EASTBRO DANI – Broke gait during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the mare. 

KAMIKAZE SCOOB – Raced roughly passing the 400m. 

OLE CHESTER – Pre-race swab. 

ANTETOKOUNMPO – Post-race swab.
