RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1609 metres

ASCOT SHOWTIME – Post-race swab sample.

RAZOR SHARP NZ – Broke gait leaving the 900 metres causing TINTENBAR to be hampered and obliged to steadied around RAZOR SHARP NZ which in turn checked LIMOUSINE CHEEKY and forced that runner wider on the track at that stage. After considering the recent record of the gelding, RAZOR SHARP NZ was placed on its last chance to race truly. A post-race veterinary exam failed to reveal any abnormalities.

TASMANS DELIGHT – Inclined to hang in after the start for a short distance.

TINTENBAR – Hung in noticeably rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. After considering the recent record of the entire, TINTENBAR was placed on its last chance to race truly. Hampered leaving the 900 metres when RAZOR SHARP NZ broke gait resulting in, TINTENBAR being steadied away from that runner which in turn caused LIMOUSINE CHEEKY to be checked and forced wider on the track.

LIMOSINE CHEEKY – Pre-race blood sample. Leaving the 900 metres was checked and forced wider on the track when TINTENBAR was being steadied away from RAZOR SHARP NZ which broke gait.

CASSINO MAN – Approval was given for the gelding to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 2 – SOUTHGATE INN PACE – 1609 metres

FREDDIES DELIGHT – Slow to begin.

IAM THE JOKER – Shifted out when placed under pressure during the final 150 metres. In view of the gelding’s recent record, IAM THE JOKER was placed on its last chance to race truly. Post-race swab sample.

ITS INEVITABLE NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian in accordance with HRNSW’s animal welfare policy. No abnormalities were reported.

OUR BUSHWACKER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian in accordance with HRNSW’s animal welfare policy. No abnormalities were reported.

DARK SIDE NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian in accordance with HRNSW’s animal welfare policy. No abnormalities were reported. Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages.

DONT TELL DOROTHY – Pre-race blood sample. Driver D Chapple was cautioned for the manner in which he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 3 – PETERMAC ON-COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY PACE – 1609 metres

SPLIT EAR – Pre-race blood sample. Broke gait rounding the first turn causing SEVEN RIPPIN ACES to be checked and raced roughly. A warning was issued.

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES – Checked and raced roughly rounding the first turn when SPLIT EAR broke gait.

DEVILSTIX – Post-race swab sample.

DON HESTON – Hampered after the start as a result of SHADY JESS galloping out.

SHADY JESS – Galloped away after the start was effected causing DON HESTON to be hampered. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

KARALTA COURAGE – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.

SEAMARK NZ – Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages.

 

RACE 4 – STOCKMANS SUPPLIES PACE – 1609 metres

SHADOW ECLIPSE – Pre-race blood sample.

BEE SEVENTEEN – Post-race swab sample.

FOREVER MOMENTS – Passing the 250 metres was inconvenienced when racing between IN CHREVON WE TRUST NZ and ZOEMAGIC after attempting to shift wider away from ZOEMAGIC which had commenced to give ground. Driver E Ison was notified to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

ZACHAROONI – Driver J Coney was fined the sum of $200 under AHRR 156(2)(a) for applying the whip on multiple occasions in a manner which exceeded a wrist only flicking motion over the final 200 metres.

ZOEMAGIC – Commenced to weaken over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. A post-race veterinary exam failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 5 – VALE BOB BALLANTINE – 1980 metres

PANIC BUY – Pre-race blood sample.

BRAVE BONDI – Inconvenienced and raced roughly passing the 400 metres when SMOLENSKI shifted out.

SMOLENSKI – Driver T Ison was issued a reprimand under AHRR 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that, when passing the 400 metres he permitted his runner to shift wider on the track when not quite clear of BRAVE BONDI which was inconvenienced and raced roughly.

AMERICAN MANDY – Post-race swab sample.

TRIPLE EMM – Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages. Driver J Coney was issued a reprimand under AHRR 162(1)(www)(a) in that, during the final 150 metres she failed to make sufficient effort to prevent her runner from shifting out whilst under pressure.

BUDDY PERFECT – Broke gait after the start for a short distance. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 6 – HAZELLS FARM & FERTILIZER SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN – Post-race swab sample.

ENABLE ME NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Driver J Coney pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that, leaving the 1300 metres he permitted ENABLE ME NZ to shift down the track when insufficiently clear of BENJIMAGEE causing that runner to be placed in restricted room, having to be checked and consequently losing its rightful running. When assessing penalty consideration was given to, Mr Coney’s guilty plea, his record in relation to the rule and the degree of interference. Accordingly, J Coney had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days commencing midnight 19/04/24. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. In view of the fast mile rate in the event of 1.57.2 seconds, no action was taken.

WHATA TERROR – Hung in slightly upon entering the final turn resulting in, MISS MARAVU being tightened for racing room and obliged to race inside marker pegs.

BENJIMAGEE – Leaving the 1300 metres was placed in restricted room, had to be checked and lost its rightful running when ENABLE ME NZ shifted in. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. In view of the fast mile rate in the event of 1.57.2 seconds, no action was taken.

MISS MARAVU – Tightened for racing room and obliged to race inside of two marker pegs upon entry into the final turn when WHATA TERROR hung in. Approval was given for the mare to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 7 – FM96.3 LIVERPOOL PLAINS PACE – 1980 metres

TABRA – Pre-race blood sample. At the first attempt to score up, broke gait during the latter stages causing DOLLARSIGN to be checked and consequently a false start was declared. A warning was issued. Checked passing the 300 metres when trailing HE SAID SHE SAID which was checked and broke gait.

HE SAID SHE SAID – Passing the 300 metres over-raced onto PRINCESS REMI which had commenced to yield ground causing HE SAID SHE SAID to be checked and broke gait and in turn caused the trailling TABRA to be checked.

RAINBOW JET – Post-race swab sample.

PRINCESS REMI – Weakened inside the final 400 metres to be beaten 57.2 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, trainer/driver D Brown explained that connections were confident of a competitive showing from the filly given its recent form and stated that his runner travelled well throughout the event however when placed under pressure over the latter stages of the event the filly failed to respond to his urgings and was extremely disappointing in his opinion. He said that, the stable will monitor the filly’s recovery in the days subsequent prior to continuing with its preparation. A post-race veterinary exam failed to reveal any abnormalities. After considering the recent record of the mare, PRINCESS REMI was placed on its last chance to race truly. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

 

RACE 8 – FOLLOW TAMWORTH HRC ON FACEBOOK PACE – 1609 metres

DOUGS RULES – Galloped away as the start was effected causing COLBY NZ to be hampered. A warning was issued. Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages.

RACING PAULA – Post-race swab sample.

PARATROUPER – Pre-race blood sample. Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages. Driver M Grima was issued a reprimand under AHRR 170(1)(b) in that, when releasing the deafeners passing the 300 metres he allowed his left foot to drop below the sulky rest momentarily. Further, M Grima was issued a reprimand under AHHR 163(1)(c)(i) in that, upon straightening for the run to the finish he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent his runner racing inside the line of marker pegs.

COLBY NZ – Hampered after the start when DOUGS RULES galloped away.
