RACE 1 – BEATSBREWSBBQ.COM.AU TICKETS ON SALE MAIDEN PACE - 1720metres

MISTER BRILLANTE – Post-race swab sample.

APACHE JANE – Hung in and contacted marker peg at various stages throughout the event. A warning was issued.

LETS SPARKS FLY – Out of position at the start. Will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. Failed to maintain position with main body of the field throughout the event and was uncompetitive. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have lacerations to both hind fetlocks. In view of the performance the mare will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial along with a veterinary certificate and for a period of 14 days.

PEPPI GRATZ – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced between the 900 metres and 700 metres behind APACHE JANE which was hanging inwards and contacting marker pegs. Driver R. Morris was reprimanded under Rule 170(1)(a) for dropping his left foot whilst activating gear near the 200 metres.

WHISKEY ROYALE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

RACE 2 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720metres

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO – Post-race swab sample.

HAWKE EYE – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – HSVOC MUSCLE CAR SHOW @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND MAY 5 PACE – 1720metres

KNOCKOUT TYSON – Near the 200 metres sustained a flat off side tyre when HALLOWEEN made contact with that wheel.

CLASSIC GRANGE – Stewards questioned Driver W. Rixon in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened over the final 500 metres. W. Rixon stated that the gelding was resuming from a spell wasn’t suited to the quick 2^nd quarter and as a result was under pressure leaving the 500 metres. W. Rixon added that the gelding would take benefit from the run and connections would look to make gear changes prior to the next race start. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

TARAMIN – Near the 900 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.

HALLOWEEN – Driver J. Gallagher was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in the near the 200 metres when shifting wider he made contact to the off side sulky wheel of KNOCKOUT TYSON and as a result that tyre deflated.

ALL STAR MAGICIAN – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – SOUNDPROOFED LIVE @ CLUB PACEWAY APRIL 20 PACE – 1720metres

LITTLE CESNA – Pre-race blood sample.

HOT JIVING – Post-race swab sample.

TACKAS PRINCESS – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

RACE 5 – WWW.STARDUSTCIRCUS.COM.AU – TICKETS ON SALE NOW PACE – 1720metres

FLYIN CIRCLES – Near the 400 metres tightened for room by JIMMY STEEL which hung in. Near the 300 metres was checked and raced roughly when JUST ROCKNROLL hung in slightly and CLEMENTSORRELL shifted out.

CAPITALLEE – Pre-race blood sample.

LARRIKIN LENNY – Stewards questioned Driver T. Williams in regards to the tactics adopted on the gelding during the early and middle stages of the event and the tempo set during that section of the race. T. Williams stated that in his opinion the gelding had been racing well from bad draw and as such elected to drive forward at the start to obtain a prominent position in the field. T. Williams added that rounding the first turn he looked to obtain the position in the running line trailing TEAM OF STARZZZ however when that runner proceeded to the lead near the 1400 metres he was forced to race outside the lead. T. Williams further added that near the 1350 metres he elected to drive forward to challenge TEAM OF STARZZZ for the lead and once obtaining the lead near the 1200 metres the gelding commenced to strike the sulky wheels around the bends and therefore over-raced despite his efforts. T. Williams further said that the gelding continued to over-race from the 800 metres despite him wanting to get slower sections however the gelding didn’t allow that. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the gelding’s racing manners it will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

JIMMY STEEL NZ – Near the 400 metres hung in despite the efforts of its driver.

THE TIGER ARMY – Between the 600 metres and 400 metres was checked behind the tiring LARRIKIN LENNY.

RACE 6 – SSANG YONG @ SINCLAIR FORD KINGSWOOD PACE – 1720metres

DELIGHT OF RANI – Near the 500 metres became unbalanced and galloped. In view of the gelding’s record it will be stood down until it can complete 2 satisfactory trials and for a period 14 days.

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Near the 1200 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.

WATCH ME REACT – Pre-race blood sample.

SO AM I – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 7 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2125metres

VOLANDO DENARIO NZ – Galloped out at the start. Will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. Near the 1800 metres veered out abruptly and made contact with the outside fence and was subsequently retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the performance the mare will be stood down until it can complete 1 satisfactory trial.

MEMPHIS FURY – Pre-race blood sample. Driver W. Rixon was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of the gelding in today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

MAJOR STATEMENT – Driver C. Formosa pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying her whip in the home straight on the final occasion with more than a wrist only flicking motion. C. Formosa was fined $400 after considering her recent offence record. Post-race swab sample.

SELSEY BILL NZ – Checked after the start when VOLANDO DENARIO NZ broke.

RACE 8 – MOTHERS DAY HIGH TEA @ CLUB PACEWAY BOOK NOW PACE – 1720metres

TWILIGHT HEAVEN – Tightened for room rounding the first turn. Near the 500 metres had its offside sulky wheel contacted by POPS BOY.

IM BILLS LAST – Tightened for room rounding the first turn and near the 1500 metres was checked and raced roughly.

PRINCE OF PEACE – Broke in the score up. A warning was issued.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Inconvenienced near the 500 metres behind POPS BOY which broke.

ACCELERE NZ – Near the 500 metres was checked and broke when POPS BOY broke.

POPS BOY – Driver C. Hart pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that upon entering the back straight on the final occasion he directed POPS BOY wider on the track and engaged in a jostle with IM BILLS LAST and some distance later whilst still engaged in a jostle improved into a position where there was insufficient room to do so and as a result contacted the off side sulky wheel of TWILIGHT HEAVEN and broke resulting in ACCELERE NZ being checked and broke along with SWEDISH MEATBALLS being inconvenienced. C. Hart’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence at midnight 19^th April 2024. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account C. Hart’s guilty plea, his good driving record, and also the degree of interference suffered to himself and other runners.
