Ms Delsoa advised after racing outside the leader for majority of the event she noticed THOMAS ROYAL which was trailing BILLY BOURNE was under pressure and unable to maintain its position passing the 800m at which point it would allow her sufficient room to shift inwards & trial BILLY BOURNE and give her runner some respite as BILLY BOURNE appeared to be traveling well at that point of the event & would give her every opportunity to challenge over the concluding stages. Ms Delosa added once she noticed BILLY BOURNE was under pressure she was not able to shift outwards without causing interference until passing the 300m where the gelding made up ground when directed wider on the track. After viewing the available replays which supported Ms Delosa comments stewards felt the tactics adopted were not entirely unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
