RACE 1 – CRYSTALS FAIR @ PENRITH PACEWAY JUN 14/5 PACE - 2125metres

MADAZALWAYS - Shifted out under pressure over the final 150 metres. A warning was issued.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

PLAYFUL MISS - Post-race swab sample.

GREY CADILLAC - Stewards questioned Driver J. Gallagher in regards to the driving tactics adopted during the middle stages of the event in particular the pressure applied to MADAZALWAYS which resulted in the 2nd quarter being recorded in 28.5 seconds. J. Gallagher stated that the gelding is one paced and is always driven tough and approaching the 1000 metres he was of the opinion that he may be able to find the lead and therefore applied significant vigour to the gelding however near the 800 metres MADAZALWAYS was able to improve through to his inside and therefore maintain the lead. J. Gallagher added that he was satisfied with the overall performance of the gelding in tonight’s event considering the tempo of the event. Stewards noted the comments.

RACE 2 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2125metres

ZEN MASTER - Post-race swab sample.

RACE 3 –  LOVE FOR LANKY @ CLUB PACEWAY JUNE 15 PACE – 1720metres

ULTIMATE TROUBLE - Pre-race blood sample.

RIP JACKSON - Post-race swab sample.

TEAM OF STARZZZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

GOTTADOBETTOR - Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

RACE 4 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720metres

OUR ULTIMATE EBONY NZ - Post-race swab sample.

MANHATTAN SUNSHINE NZ - Stewards questioned Trainer/Driver S. Grima in regards to the performance of the mare. S. Grima advised that he was unable to offer any explanation for the performance other than it may not have been suited to racing outside the leader in a quick mile rate. S. Grima further added that he will discuss the mare’s immediate racing future with connections in the days subsequent to the event.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN. - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 5 – CHRISTMAS IN JULY @ PENRITH PACEWAY JULY 11 PACE – 1720metres

CAPTAIN BLOOD - Post-race swab sample.

MUCKINBAR DIVA - Broke in the early stages of he score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

LUCKY BEACH BOY - Pre-race blood sample.

SPIRIT AND SOUL NZ - Near the 500 metres attempted to buck and broke. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered atrial fibrillation. The gelding will be stood down for a period of 14 days and must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness including an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial.

RACE 6 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 1720metres

WAR WESTERN - Pre-race blood sample.

BELLRIVERGIRL - Post-race swab sample.

NOTMUCHUPTOP - Stewards questioned Driver J. Gallagher in regards to the driving tactics adopted on the gelding in particular the reasons for maintain the position outside the lead when challenged by CLEMENTSORRELL near the 1400 metres. J. Gallagher stated that once obtaining the position outside the lead he was reluctant to allow CLEMENTSORRELL to improve forward of him as he was of the opinion that it would continue to the lead and therefore leave him racing without cover. J. Gallagher added that he was of the opinion if he was to maintain his position to the inside of CLEMENTSORRELL he would be able to challenge BELLRIVERGIRL for the lead and therefore keep CLEMENTSORRELL to his outside however when that runner restrained to the rear of the field he was obliged to race outside the lead for the remainder of the event. Stewards noted the comments.

CLEMENTSORRELL -Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 7 –  BEATS BREWS & BBQ PENRITH SHOWGROUND JULY 14/15 TROTTERS MOBILE – 1720Metres

YOUNG SON - Near the 200 metres was checked and contacted marker pegs when racing to the inside of ONAWINGANDAPRAYER.

ONAWINGANDAPRAYER - Driver J. Ogden pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that rounding the home turn he failed to make sufficient effort from preventing his runner shifting down the track when not clear of YOUNG SON and as a result that runner was checked and contacted marker pegs. J. Ogden’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence at midnight 18th June 2024. Driver J. Ogden was cautioned for the manner in which he applied his whip over the final 200 meters.

ELLOWEEN - Near the 1200 metres and again near the 600 metres became unbalanced and galloped. In view of the performance the mare was placed on its last chance to race truly.

TEDESCO NZ - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MELPARK MAGIC - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Near the 200 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued. Furthermore due to racing inside the marker pegs over the final 200 metres the gelding was disqualified from the event.

JAKARTA NZ - Out of position at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts. Near the 300 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.

LOVE WHO - Out of position at the start. Will continue to be placed right outside the draw in future mobile starts.

RACE 8 – FISHOS RAFFLES EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT @ CLUB PACEWAY PACE – 1720metres

KNOCKOUT TYSON - Driver J. Bates will be interviewed in relation to the manner in which he applied his whip over the final 200 metres.

ALL STAR MAGICIAN - Shifted out under pressure over the final 200 metres. Driver L. Green was advised that he must modify his whip action to comply with the rules.

BELL RIVERKID - Pre-race blood sample.

JACKS UP - Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

OURSURFINSAFARI - Driver P. Shipley advised that he sustained a flat off side tyre during the running of the event.

RUM DELIGHT NZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Post-race swab sample.
