DEVELSTIX – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr A Varga explained that after driving purposefully in the early stages to lead he was then pressured during the middle stages by KARALTA COURAGE racing fiercely on his outside, which precluded him from restraining to what he considered to be a tempo appropriate to DEVELSTIX providing a strong response over the concluding stages. He said that if the gelding recovered well its preparation would continue and it would be nominated to race at Tamworth on 20 June 2024.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES – Post-race swab sample was obtained.

KARALTA COURAGE – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr T Ison explained that after being unsuccessful in his attempt to lead, the gelding over raced without cover in the middle stages and when placed under pressure inside the 600 metres was unresponsive and disappointing in the run to the finish.  He said that he would monitor the gelding’s recovery and it would be freshened prior to making a decision on a future racing program.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
