GENERAL – Due to heavy rainfall prior to the commencement of the meeting mud guards were required for the duration of the night.

 

RACE 1 – WELCOME TO MEMBERS NIGHT PACE – 1609 metres

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Contacted marker pegs as the field negotiated the final turn.

IM ROCKIN IT – Pre-race sample was taken. 

SPIRIT KING – Had a tendency to shift in whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

MURPHYS REWARD NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

THE FORTUNATE SON – Hampered racing down the back straight for the run to the finish.

 

RACE 2 – $5K MEGA MEMBERS DRAW PACE – 1609 metres

UNCLE GREGORY – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

LIGHTNING BOB – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

SWEET CREATION – Pre-race sample was taken.  Galloped away as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

THE METAL FLYER – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

BARA RILEY – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – SOMERSET MEATS PAE – 2030 metres

NYOTA – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

ITS DOWN TO DIGGER – Post-race sample was taken.

MAJOR MIKEY – It was reported post-race that the deafeners failed to release during the event.

GANDALF NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 4 – GLOBAL BRANDS PACE – 1609 metres

LACEYS LAD NZ – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

ROCLEA IMAGE – Checked as the field negotiated the first turn.  Checked and locked wheels as the field negotiated the final turn.

MAN FROM BRAAVOS – Checked and locked wheels as the field negotiated the final turn.

FAR OUT BRO – Pre-race sample was taken.  Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.  Driver L Sutton was found guilty of a charge under rule 231(2) for misconduct in that following the completion of the event when pulling up directed comments towards L Whittaker (MASTER CATCH) which were inappropriate inclusive of foul language.  Driver L Sutton was fined the sum of $400.  When considering penalty Stewards took into account his record in relation to the rule.

VAN BASTEN – Sustained a contact to her sulky as the field negotiated the final turn.  Post-race sample was taken.

DADNDAVE NZ – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.

IM IN TROUBLE – Driver S Grima pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 168(1)(a) in that when directing his runner wider on the track rounding the final turn contacted the near side wheel of VAN BASTEN and as a result broke stride.  Driver S Grima’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of seven days.  When considering penalty Stewards took into account his forthright evidence in addition to his guilty plea and record in relation to the rule.

MASTER CATCH – Checked and broke stride as the field entered the first turn.

 

GENERAL – Stewards inquired into the reasons for MASTER CATCH galloping as the field negotiating the first turn.  After taking evidence from drivers L Sutton (FAR OUT BRO). L Whittaker (MASTER CATCH) and review of the patrol footage Stewards determined that as FAR OUT BRO commenced to shift down the track entering the first turn done so with clearance and in turn MASTER CATCH which had begun to progress forward in an attempt to obtain the position one out one back Stewards determined that this happened simultaneously and could not blame any driver or horse for the incident and advised drivers to take greater care in similar circumstances.

 

RACE 5 – SLICK CHICKS PACE – 1609 metres

SHEZA REBEL – Contacted the barrier arm in the middle stages of the score up which in turn BRING YOUR BEST became fractious shifting up the track hampering the running of OCHOCINCO which in turn hampered the running of STILL ROLLIN NZ which was out of position as the start was affected. 

CAROLSDIAMOND – Hampered as a result of trailing weakening runners.

STILL ROLLIN NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Hampered during the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  Post-race sample was taken.

ZOLTON – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

BRING YOUR BEST – Fractious in the middle stages of the score up.  No action was taken.

 

RACE 6 – RARITY WHOLESALE PACE – 2030 metres

SELSEY BILL NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

KARAOKE KING – was hampered as the field entered the turn out of the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

CHASING THE WIND – Had a tendency to hang in when weakening over the concluding stages.

OUR IDEAL DREAM NZ – Hampered as the field negotiated the turn out of the back straight on the first occasion.

KILLARA SAMURAI – Had a tendency to race roughly as the field entered the first turn.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the turn out of the back straight on the first occasion and shortly thereafter broke the connecting strap on the near side and trailed the field for the remainder of the event.  A warning was issued.

STICK MAN NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

THE MIGHTY MONDO NZ – Out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Hampered as the field raced out of the back straight on the first occasion.

 

RACE 7 – CICA CIKA OACE – 1609 metres

GUNFIGHTERSGHOST – Had a tendency to hang in during the early and middle stages of the score up.

SWEETLY SPOKEN – Had a tendency to hang in whilst racing wide rounding the first turn when being checked wider on the track broke stride.  A warning was issued.

JOGALONG BLUE – Post-race sample was taken.

ROCKNROLL TONY – Pre-race sample was taken.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Had a tendency to hang out in the early stages of the score up.

 

RACE 8 – THOMPSON’S WHOLESALE BAKERY HRNSW GUARANTEED 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

BLING THE KASH – Pre-race sample was taken.  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

MARDIBRINGSAPARTY – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

ALTIANO – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  Connections were advised it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

EYES BEEN PATIENT – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

OUR LUCILLE – Slow away as the start was affected.

WHISKEY ROYALE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

NOISY CRUSADER – Upon request from connections was re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Upon request from connections was re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

MYSTICAL SUNSHINE – Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  A warning was issued.
