As Driver M. Young was indisposed following her drive in Race 3 due to a hand injury the following driving change was approved

Driver M. Young was advised that a medical certificate will be required prior to driving again.

RACE 1 – STU VALENTINE INSURANCE PACE - 1730metres

THE RINGMASTER - Driver A. Clancy was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the finish line he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent his runner shifting down the track and as a result tightened the racing room of LITTLE POPCORN.

TRIOLI - Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned Driver J. Turnbull in regards to the racing manners of the mare which over-raced despite his efforts during the early and middle stages of the event. J. Turnbull stated that once finding the lead despite his efforts he was unable to get the mare to settle and as a result recorded quicker times then he would have liked. J. Turnbull added that he would have liked to obtain cover on the mare if possible however given its racing manners he was unable to do that. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities. In view of the mare’s racing manner it will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

LITTLE POPCORN - Approaching the finish line was tightened for racing room by THE RINGMASTER which shifted in.

ROSIE ROMANCE - Driver J. Morris was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying her whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion over the final 200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

MAJOR JAMANE - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to being 12 years of age. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 2 – EQUISSAGE PACE – 1730metres

ARE YOU WITH ME - Post-race swab sample.

NONE GREATER - Driver N. Turnbull was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion over the final 200 meters.

CHILLAX - Raced roughly throughout the event. A warning was issued.

THE HANDSOME ONE - Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start. A warning was issued.

KARINYA MAX - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to not competing for 12 months. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 3 –  BOURKES HORSE RUGS PACE – 1730metres

THE BLACK FOX - Approaching the first turn tightened for room when racing to the inside of TULHURST JANET which shifted in when not quite clear and as a result raced roughly. When questioned in relation to the performance of the gelding, Driver I. Ross stated that once obliged to race outside the lead the gelding wasn’t suited and therefore failed to finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.

TULHURST JANET - Driver N. Hurst was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that rounding the first turn he shifted his runner down the track when not quite clear of THE BLACK FOX which was steadied and raced roughly.

HOOKED ON WINNING NZ - Post-race swab sample.

MENDOZA LASS - Hung in during the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

MISS TYLER - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to not competing for 12 months. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Tired over the final 500 metres of the event to be beaten 72 metres. Trainer N. Turnbull advised that he was disappointed with the performance given the run it obtained during the event. N. Turnbull added that he would discuss the immediate racing future of the mare with connections in the coming days. In view of the performance the mare will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

ZACHARY SHANNON - Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 4 –  RELIANCE BANK PACE – 1730metres

BRIDGE ON FIRE - Post-race swab sample.

SKYLAH ROCKS - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to not competing for 12 months. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

SHEZ A PUNTER - Pre-race blood sample. Near the 500 metres contacted the off side sulky wheel of HES REGAL and was checked and broke.

HES REGAL - Driver N. Hurst pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 500 metres when shifting wider on the track wasn’t sufficiently clear of SHEZ A PUNTER and as a result that runner contacted the offside sulky wheel and was checked and broke. N. Hurst’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence at midnight 21st June 2024.

SONNY WRITER - Galloped out at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts. Near the 800 metres became unbalanced and galloped. In view of the gelding’s record it will be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory trial.

IRK MCGLURK - Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

RACE 5 – LION NATHAN NSWSOA PACE – 2260metres

BLAZIN CHIMES - Pre-race blood sample.

TEN GALLEON - Broke after the start. A warning was issued.

BOHEMIAN BRAWLER - Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

ALWAYSBMYPONY = Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

SAVEEON - Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – BATHURST RSL CLUB PACE – 1730metres

JOHN RICHARD - Broke in the score up. A warning was issued.

FRONTIER - Near the 100 metres locked wheels with HALL MOST AN ANGEL which hung in slightly and was checked.

JOES REDEMPTION - Driver N. Turnbull was reprimanded under Rule 170(2) for allowing is body to protrude from the  confines of the sulky near the finish line. Post-race swab sample.

HALL CASH - Post-race swab sample.

HALL MOST AN ANGEL - Near the 100 metres hung in and locked wheels with FRONTIER and as a result was checked.

RACE 7 – BEDWELLS FEEDBARN PACE – 1730Metres

EUREKA NZ - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP NSW BRED TWO YEAR OLD HEAT  – 1730metres

DOLLY ROCKET - Post-race swab sample.

GDANSK - Pre-race blood sample. Near the 1400 metres over-raced and contacted the sulky of DOLLY ROCKET and raced roughly.

KARLOO DIDDY - Gave ground over the final 400 metres.
