RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1740 metres

UNIVERSAL PEGASUS – Galloped after the start and was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Galloped clear of interference and a warning was issued.

ELLOWEN – Galloped clear of interference on two separate occasions and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

TROT TO CHEVRON NZ – Trotted roughly throughout before then galloping clear of interference in the back straight on the final occasion. Driver James Locke was advised that TROT TO CHEVRON NZ would be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

KEEPER OFTHEPLAINS – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

ONAWINGANDAPRAYER – Galloped after the start and a warning was issued.

LOVE WHO – Galloped clear of interference at the 1000m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.  

 

RACE 2 – HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY CLARRIE LYNNE PACE – 1740 metres

DON KEE – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 13yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

OUR BUSHWACKER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

STELLAS DELIGHT NZ – Galloped in the score up and a warning was issued. Post-race sample.

BLACK ART NZ – Checked after the start when LOLLIPOP galloped.

CLASSIC GRANGE – Shifted out after the start resulting in LOLLIPOP making contact with the outside sulky wheel of CLASSIC GRANGE. Paced roughly over the final 500m when attempting to shift wider on the track, as a result CLASSIC GRANGE was directed towards the marker pegs. In the home straight when obtaining an inside run along the marker pegs again paced roughly.

WHY NOT SURF – Pre-race sample.

LOLLIPOP – Checked and galloped after the start when making contact with the outside sulky wheel of CLASSIC GRANGE, when that runner shifted out after the start.

 

RACE 3 – CONNECT FM 100.9 PACE  – 1740 metres

ALL STAR MAGICIAN – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

DOUBLE LINES – When leading contacted its own sulky wheel, resulting in DOUBLE LINES over-racing. Approaching the 800m began to pace roughly and was directed to the inside of the marker pegs and was soon after retired from the event. Driver Blake Hughes reported that in his opinion DOUBLE LINES had choked down due to the geldings racing manners during the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. DOUBLE LINES was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.  

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO – Sulky was contacted in the back straight on the final occasion, due to NOTMUCHUPTOP hanging out when trailing.

RUM DELIGHT NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Checked when NOTMUCHUPTOP galloped in the back straight on the final occasion.

POLKA DOT DANCE NZ – Checked in the back straight on the final occasion when NOTMUCHUPTOP galloped.

NOTMUCHUPTOP – Hung out and contacted the sulky wheel of ROGERVALERIO LOMBO in the back straight on the final occasion. Shortly after galloped, checking RUM DELIGHT NZ and POLKA DOT DANCE. A warning was issued against the racing manners of NOTMUCHUPTOP.

 

RACE 4 – S WILSON & ASSOCIATES PACE – 1740 metres

SUNDAY SESH - Post-race swab sample.

HIGHVIEW SADLER NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

DANCING WITH MY EX – Galloped in the score up, however regained its barrier position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.

BE MY ROCK – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

LANI KAI BEACH - Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 5 – BANKSTOWN SUNDAY MARKETS PACE – 1740 metres

TEAM OF STARZZZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 13yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

THE MALDIVES – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

SPORTING ROBYN NZ – Pre-race sample.

RIPSTONE SNORTER – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – CLUB RIVERS LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed due to Mount Isa Race 3 gallops running behind schedule.

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Galloped racing around the first turn, checking DASHING CHEDDER which galloped and IDEAL COPY was inconvenienced. PLAY SOUTHERNLAND took no competitive part in the race thereafter and a warning was issued against the racing manners of the mare.

BOLERO – Post-race swab sample.

JIMMY STEEL NZ – Galloped in the score up and a warning was issued.

WEENEEDDREAMS – Driver Will Rixon was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the mare during the early and middle stages of the event when being able to lead and withstand a challenge from BOLERO approaching the 1200m. Mr Rixon explained that prior to the race both himself and trainer Ross Adams felt that given a favourable barrier draw of four in today’s event it was be in the interests of the mare to attempt to show gate speed and be driven forward. Mr Rixon explained that he was of the opinion that the best chance to beat BOLERO was to have that runner racing to his outside and was mindful that when leading two starts prior (Menangle 2 July) BOLERO recorded only a 31.8 second quarter itself. Mr Rixon advised that if the challenge of BOLERO was more extended he would have then surrendered the lead position to that runner, however added that in his opinion was only a brief challenge, resulting in WEENEEDDREAMS holding that position. Mr Rixon added that WEENEEDDREAMS only commenced to give ground and only become under pressure over the final 250m when finishing into 5th position.

IDEAL COPY – Inconvenienced racing around the first turn when PLAY SOUTHERLAND galloped. Then tired to be beaten in excess of 100m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

DASHING CHEDDAR – Checked and galloped racing around the first turn when PLAY SOUTHERNLAND galloped.

FIFTYSHADES CRESCO – Pre-race sample.

KISSED BY A ROSE – Gave ground over the final 600m.

 

RACE 7 – BINGO WASTE SERVICES PACE – 1740 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed due to Mount Isa gallops Race 4 running behind schedule.

INTHEBLINKOFANEYE – Checked and taken back through the field when KILLARA DRAGON commenced to tire racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

KILLARA DRAGON – Pre-race sample. After leading the event commenced to give ground racing down the back straight on the final occasion before being beaten in excess of 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery however revealed no other abnormalities. Connections were advised that KILLARA DRAGON would be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

TAKE A HIKE NZ – Paced roughly racing into the back straight on the first occasion.

KEEPERS IDEAL NZ – Post-race sample.

SWEET CHAPPY LOU – Galloped on multiple occasions in the score up and will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Galloped free of interference at the 1000m and a warning was issued.

HAWKE EYE – Paced roughly before galloping free of interference at the 1000m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the mare.

 

RACE 8 – SMARTMOVE PROFESSIONAL MORTGAGE BROKERS PACE - 2140 metres

General – The All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards the opportunity to view the start of the race in relation to MICHAEL CAINE NZ galloping before the start and if any runner was denied a fair start. It was established that when MICHAEL CAINE NZ did gallop prior to the start being effected, no runner was denied a fair start in the incident and All Clear was given on the judge’s numbers.

CONSIDER IT DONE – Pre-race sample.

MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Galloped out and was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Galloped leaving the 1900m and took no competitive part in the event. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

KISSMELVIS – Post-race swab sample.

COLLECTIVE WORKS – Over-raced during the middle stages and then gave ground over the final 600m. Driver Declan Murphy explained that COLLECTIVE WORKS began to over-race after the horse which was leading to the inside of his drive, commenced to contact its own sulky wheel. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

MY COURTELL – Tired to be 66m and a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
