RACE 1 – GALLAGHER LITTLE RED JUG PRELUDE – 1720 metres

QUESTRO QUEEN NZ – Raced roughly rounding the first turn when being restrained.

IDEAL DENNY – Raced three wide early before working forward to a position in the running line passing the 1400 metres.  Checked between the 600 and 400 metres when held up behind the tiring FOUR STAR LINCOLN.

FOUR STAR LINCOLN – Broke in the score up.  In view of the gelding’s recent record will be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Worked forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres.  Commenced to give ground from the 600 metres before being beaten 26.6 metres.

GWENTH P NZ – Pre-race blood test.

SERENE PRINCESS – Tightened rounding the first turn when QUESTRO QUEEN NZ was attempting to find a position on the marker pegs.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK – Three wide working forward until approaching the 300 metres, when the gelding jumped an object on the track and broke gait for which a warning was issued.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

JUSTA DRAGON – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 2 – LATHER UP @ WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 1720 metres

CALA GRECA – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

TENEACHWAY – Galloped out for which a warning was issued.  Approaching the 1200 metres broke gait free of interference which a warning was issued.  Passing the 1100 metres was checked as a result of LOGAN REASON and ROSTOVA locking wheels.

LOGAN REASON – Approaching the 1100 metres locked wheels and was severely checked when ROSTOVA hung out and broke gait.

TEARIN UP THE SAND – Inconvenienced passing the 1100 metres when ROSTOVA broke gait.

ALLIYAHS HOPE – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

TULHURST ELVIS – Three wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres.

ROSTOVA – Inconvenienced after the start as a result of TENEACHWAY breaking gait.  Approaching the 1100 metres hung out, broke gait and locked wheels with LOGAN REASON for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – MODERN ART @ LOCHEND STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

TULHURST JANET – Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.  Post-race swab.

LIMBO LILLY – Pre-race blood test.  Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader parsing the 1300 metres.

RUBY BABY NZ – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

MASAKE – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.

TULHURST DANCER – Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – GARRARDS LOYALTY SERIES HEAT – 2120 metres

BARLOR HEAVEN – Post-race swab.

AVENTINE HILL – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1600 metres.

BARRYS ROSE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 108.7 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  In view of the performance of the gelding BARRYS ROSE will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

YARRAMAN KAYLOU – Pre-race blood test.

JAYJAYTESS – Pre-race blood test.  Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1000 metres.

 

RACE 5 – TIGER TARA @ MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1720 metres

SEEMESHINEYHEELS – Pre-race blood test.

HARLEY JAMES – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

MEGS MONARO – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Post-race swab.

STUDLEIGH STARLIGHT – Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1000 metres.

CHILLAX – Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1100 metres.  At the request of connections CHILLAX was re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 6 – LOU’S PEARLMAN USA @ TOURELLO STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1720 metres

BATED BREATH – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

GIRL JUST FLY – Pre-race blood test. 

SPEEDY SPORT – Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres.

KARINYA MAX – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

TRIOLI – Post-race swab.

THE RINGMASTER – Broke in the score and will be continued out of the draw in mobile starts.

 

RACE 7 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1720 metres

JILLIBY GIZMO –Driver Jett Turnbull was questioned in regards to the seemingly improved performance of the gelding.  Mr Turnbull explained the gelding was having its first run for Shannon Rye, and felt the change in scenery and training regime may have been beneficial. Over raced throughout the event.  Post-race swab.

HAWKE EYE – Pre-race blood test. Broke in the score up for which a warming was issued.

FOREVER BETTOR NZ – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 86.1 metres for which a warning was issued.  In taking no further action Stewards were mindful of the overall mile rate of being 1:57:8.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. 

DOUBLE MACH – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1300 metres.

 

RACE 8 – DOWN THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2120 metres

OUR GLADIATOR – Pre-race blood test. 

TULHURST CHASE – Broke after the start and will now be excluded from mobile barrier draw.

BANG BANG BILLY – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.  Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 153.8 metres.  Given the overall performance of the gelding it will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

JACKYS HAT – Driver Jorja Rusten was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that passing the 400 metres she has allowed the mare to shift wider on the track inconveniencing THE DOME and ARMA SPORTSGIRL.  Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

SANTUZZA ART – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1600 metres.  Driver Jett Turnbull was reprimanded under rule 162(1)(a)(www) for failing to make sufficient effort allowing the filly to shift out when under pressure hampering  JACKYS HAT.

THE DOME – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of JACKYS HAT shifting wider on the track.

ARMA SPORTSGIRL – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of JACKYS HAT shifting wider on the track.
