E Turnbull stated that prior to the race Trainer B Kitt had indicated to her that he felt the gelding had raced well at its previous start and was confident of a forward showing tonight. She added that near the 900 metres she pulled the gelding’s ear plugs as it wasn’t travelling well, and it seemed to get back up on the bit leaving the 800 metres. She further added that leaving the 600 metres she had some concerns that BINNO MAJOR, which she was trailing, wasn’t going to take her much further as it had been under pressure for some distance and OURMATE GEEJAY was improving to her outside, which could have resulted in her being stuck behind BINNO MAJOR. E Turnbull added that approaching the 400 metres, she felt her runner was travelling well again and shifted out in an endeavour to ensure she had clear running however the gelding didn’t respond when she placed it under pressure, and she was disappointed with its effort over the concluding stages.
