RACE 1 – ASPIRE TRAFFIC OFFENDERS COURSE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1710 metres

FOOTTAPPER – Pre-race blood sample. Hung in final turn. Post-race swab sample.

TEDESCO – Raced roughly passing the 600 metres. Approaching the 400 metres broke under pressure. In view of the recent record of the gelding TEDESCO will be required to perform two requalifying trials and stood down for a period of 10 days.

TROT TO CHEVRON NZ – Hung in final turn

 

RACE 2 – HOLLINGWORTH CRANE HIRE SERVICE MAIDEN PACE – 1710 metres

STELLA MACH – Slow to begin from the mobile. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of CAPTAIN GROOVE shifting wider on the track.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event.

VALDEZZ – At the request of connections was re-included in the mobile draw.

TESTO BROMAC – Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 50 metres broke under pressure. In view of the recent record of the horse TESTO BROMAC will be required to perform two requalifying trials and stood down for a period of 14 days.

ALWAYS SAM – Post-race swab sample.

DOUBLE SAID – Broke gear in the score up and a false start was declared, an inspection of the gear post-race indicated it to be of good quality and no further action was taken. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of CAPTAIN GROOVE shifting wider on the track.

 

RACE 3 – SUN SOLUTIONS HOME IMPROVEMENT GOULBURN PACE – 1710 metres

ESJAY THE NOMAD – Slow to begin from the mobile. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 82.5 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered an Atrial Fibrillation, acting under rule 101C(2)(a) the gelding was stood down for 14 days, ECG, a veterinary certificate of clearance, and one requalifying trial.

WHERESTHEBOY – Galloped out for which a warning was issued.

STARS ABROAD – Raced roughly after the start before breaking gait shortly after entering the first turn, for which a warning was issued. Driver Neil Day was cautioned for allowing his left foot to lower from the sulky rest when activating gear.

RED ROCK –.Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

ROSES ARE BEST – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

MAJOR ALLEGIANCE – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

OUTRAGEOUS REBEL – Inconvenienced after the start as a result of WHERESTHEBOY galloping out.

TWO BLUES BLING – Checked, broke and fell shortly after the start as a result of WHERESTHEBOY galloping out. A post-race veterinary inspection of the filly indicated lacerations to both knees, acting under veterinary advice TWO BLUES BLING was stood down a veterinary certificate of clearance, and for a period of 28 days. Driver Scott Hewitt indicated as a result of the fall his back was sore and would be unable to fulfil his driving engagements, Mr Hewitt was stood down pending a Medical clearance.

 

 

RACE 4 – GOULBURN HAY SUPPLIES PACE – 1710 metres

WINGMAN LOU – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

NIKALONG MINT – Approaching the 500 metres had the offside sulky tyre contacted and flattened when MISTER BRILLANTE was moving wider on the track. Hung in throughout the event. Driver Michael Wood was fined $200 under rule 231(2) for misconduct, in that he directed foul language on at least two occasions towards driver Ashleigh Delosa.

DREAM TO DANCE – Over raced throughout the event

MISTER BRILLANTE – Driver Ashleigh Delosa was fined $200 under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that passing the 500 metres when shifting wider on the track has made contact and flattened to offside sulky tyre of NIKALONG MINT.

 

RACE 5 – LUKE O’BRIEN ELECTRICAL LADYSHIP PACE – 1710 metres

ALLANEE – Declared a late scratching at 9.17am acting on veterinary advice.

KISSED BY A ROSE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 62 meters, for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

SARA TA SLOY – Driver  Josh Gallagher  was  questioned in regards to the performance of the filly, after starting $2.90 in the market SARA TA SLOY tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 73.9 meters. Mr Gallagher explained the filly had been racing well leading into today’s event and was confident of a forward showing, however was disappointed in the overall performance and could offer no further explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Gallagher and a warning was placed on SARA TA SLOY.

RACE 6 – FIRST NATIONAL REAL ESTATE CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH HEAT – 1710 metres

ARENA QUEEN – Pre-race blood sample. Will Rixon was approved as a late driver change as Scott Hewitt was indisposed. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

ELECTRA GIRL – Slow to begin from the mobile.

HEAVENLY REASON – Inconvenienced passing the 1300 meters when the pace of the race eased.

KING TINTIN – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

THE TEXAS RANGER – Inconvenienced passing the 1300 meters when the pace of the race eased. Raced roughly under pressure. Post-race swab sample.

YUM CHA - Declared a late scratching at 9.15am acting on veterinary advice.

RACE 7 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1710 metres

FORCE FULL - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

HUNT A RAINBOW – Trainer James Rattray was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise Taylah Osmond as the driver of the horse by the prescribed time. 

DON BOSTON – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Trainer/Driver Brad Abbott was questioned in relation to overall performance of the gelding. After being restrained to the rear of the field the gelding tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 50.1 metres. Mr Abbott explained the gelding lost ground in the fast 27.5 sec third quarter and in his opinion continued to chase from that point on. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Abbott and a warning was placed on DON BOSTON.

SHEFFIELD SPARKY – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 8 – GOULBURN SOLDIERS CLUB PACE – 1710 metres

SHADES OF HEAVEN – Contacted the barrier in the score up. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

OUR UNCLE JIM – Post-race swab sample.

FULL BROTHER – Driver Cameron Hart was questioned in relation to the performance of the horse. After starting $1.80 favourite and leading FULL BROTHER failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 17.9 metres into 7th position. Mr Hart felt the horse may not have backed up from its previous start at Penrith (12 September 2024) and felt the performance was disappointing.

LETTYS REASON – Pre-race blood sample.

THREE RIVERS NZ – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

KUZMA – Trainer James Rattray was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise Taylah Osmond as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time. 

MONTALBANO - Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
