RACE 1 – AUSTRALIAN PACING GOLD TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 1609 metres
KENETURIO – Hung in rounding the final turn and contacted a number of marker pegs for which the mare was issued its last chance to race truly.
MELPARK MAGIC – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected of either examination. Post-race swab sample.
TARENTAISE – Severely checked after the start when locking wheels with the galloping ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ.
ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ – Broke shortly after the start and shifted down the track and locked wheels with TARENTAISE resulting in driver Sofia Arvidsson being dislodged from the sulky and ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ was retired from the event. Driver S Arvidsson was inspected by the on course paramedics and was found to have no apparent injuries and fit to continue race driving. A post-race veterinary examination of ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
TWIXTEN – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
VIKSUN – Held up during the early stages of the home straight until obtaining a run to the inside of FLASH KYVALLEY passing the 50 metres.
FLASH KYVALLEY – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres.
VALLEY STAR NZ – Hampered after the start when avoiding the galloping ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ.
LATRELL NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
DOWN UNDER EARL – Broke shortly after the start for which the gelding will continue to be placed outside the standing start draw.
RACE 2 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres
OUR ULTIMATE JESSY – Pre-race blood sample.
NAMAKA – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 3 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres
GUNNA RELOAD – Post-race swab sample.
MISS RAVISHING – Tightened momentarily entering the first turn when CINEMATIC was shifted down the track with marginal clearance.
OUR ULTIMATE JANE – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which the filly will now be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw.
CINEMATIC – Pre-race blood sample. Driver B Hewitt was advised to exercise care when shifting ground in that approaching the first turn he has allowed CINEMATIC to shift down the track with marginal clearance over MISS RAVISHING which was taken down towards the running of DYNAMITES BEST.
VIOLET JAY – Raced roughly approaching the 250 metres.
DYNAMITES BEST – Placed in restricted room momentarily entering the first turn when MISS RAVISHING was taken down the track by CINEMATIC which was shifted down the track with marginal clearance.
RACE 4 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres
FIFTYSHADES CRESCO – Driver V Duncan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in that leaving the 200 metres when looking to shift FIFTYSHADES CRESCO wider on the track he has placed FIFTYSHADES CRESCO in an awkward position on the wheel of WILL I AM as well as JOGALONG BLUE to his outside.
FOLLOW THE MONEY – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned driver W Rixon in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding when being beaten 11.7 metres ($1.95 fav). Mr Rixon explained that connections were disappointed in the overall run of the gelding and felt that FOLLOW THE MONEY may not have backed up from its previous weeks run. Connections will freshen the gelding up over the coming week.
ULTIMATE AD – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected of either examination.
LEXUS LOU – Post-race swab sample.
JOGALONG BLUE – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres. Placed in restricted room over the final 100 metres when FIFTYSHADES CRESCO was taken up the track to its inside and as a result JOGALONG BLUE was taken up towards the running of OJENNY MAY momentarily. Stewards questioned driver C Geary in relation to his actions leaving the 200 metres when it appeared he had eased JOGALONG BLUE wider on the track whilst FIFTYSHADES CRESCO was looking to obtain clear running to his inside. Mr Geary explained that although having an advantage over FIFTYSHADES CRESCO he was concerned that concession driver V Duncan was angling towards the wheel of WILL I AM and as a result placed itself into an awkward position and for his own safety elected to ease slightly wider at that stage to give himself more room. After reviewing the patrol vision Stewards accepted driver C Geary's explanation and noted his comments.
KILLARA KAMIKAZE – Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 450 metres for which the filly was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.
RACE 5 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres

RACE 6 – TINTIN IN AMERICA @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
RIPSTONE SNORTER – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Stewards questioned driver W Rixon in relation to his decision to improve three wide leaving the 900 metres. Mr Rixon explained that approaching the 900 metres the tempo was moderate and noted the position outside the leader appeared available when WILLS WAY was racing some distance off the leader and as a result elected to improve. Mr Rixon explained that when placing MICHAEL CAINE NZ under pressure and moving forward the gelding failed to respond as quick as he would have liked and as a result he was caught racing three wide for the remainder of the event. Stewards noted his comments.
MY ULTIMATE COBBER – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.
WATCH ME REACT – Pre-race blood sample.
EPIC ERNIE – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

KISSMELVIS – Post-race swab sample.
MAJOR JAROD – Shifted out in the home straight whilst under pressure.
SUPA AMERICAN – Caught racing three wide during the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1250 metres. Stewards question driver J Callaghan in relation to the overall performance of the colt when being beaten 14.7 metres ($1.90 fav) and finishing in sixth position. Mr Callaghan explained that the colt was racing up in grade in today’s event and noted that it was its first wide draw and only having its third race start today connections elected to ease the colt back at the start. Mr Callaghan explained that when racing towards the tail of the field, the tempo of the event was then unsuitable to be able to make ground over the concluding stages.
RACE 8 – IRT PACE – 1609 metres
COLLECTIVE WORKS – Held up during the early stages of the home straight. Driver D Murphy pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 100 metres he has allowed COLLECTIVE WORKS to shift wider on the track and as a result has raced inside the line of CAPTAIN RITCHIE before contacting that runner’s hind leg and as a result CAPTAIN RITCHIE was checked and paced roughly. Driver D Murphy had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of seven days which was ordered to commence at midnight on 20 September 2024. In assessing penalty Stewards considered driver D Murphy’s plea, record in relation to this rule and circumstances of this incident.
MACH QUILLAN NZ – Fractious during the score up on the first occasion and as a result a false start was declared when the gelding had not faced the mobile prior to the mobile moving away. In view of the gelding’s recent record MACH QUILLAN NZ will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
CAPTAIN RITCHIE – Tightened leaving the 100 metres and contacted the sulky wheel of COLLECTIVE WORKS and as a result paced roughly for a short distance when that runner was shifted up the track without the required clearance.
