RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE - 1730metres

A LIL BIT OF LOVE – Pre-race blood sample.

OUR UNCLE HAROLD – Over-raced during the middle stages

FOUR STAR LINCOLN – Galloped out at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

HAPPY REG – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 2 – STU VALENTINE 4 BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE – 1730metres

THE DANCER – Pre-race blood sample.

EXCESS VITALITY – Slow to begin.

TEARIN UP THE SAND – Stewards questioned Driver J. Turnbull in regards to the seemingly improved performance of the gelding. J. Turnbull stated that the gelding broke at its most recent start at Canberra and therefore gear changes were made prior to tonight’s event. J. Turnbull further added that the larger track may have also contributed to the improved performance tonight. Stewards noted the comments. Driver J. Turnbull was fined $100 under Rule 170(1) for allowing his body to protrude outside the confines of the sulky.

RACE 3 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT RAFFLES TONIGHT PACE – 1730metres

VALENTINI – Post-race swab sample.

COOL DUDE JOEY – Slow to begin.

DUSTY MUSTER – Stewards questioned Driver D. McKenzie in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened to be beaten 43 metres. D. McKenzie stated that the early tempo of the event was quicker then he would have liked and therefore he elected to take cover near the 1300 metres. D. McKenzie added that it would be his intention to drive the gelding less aggressively in future race starts if circumstances permit. Stewards noted the comments. Driver D. McKenzie was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 1000 metres he shifted his runner wider on the track and as a result LAYLA SHANNON was inconvenienced.

RACE 4 – TUESDAY POKER @ BATHURST RSL PACE – 2260metres

ROCK STEADY – Stewards questioned Driver J. Turnbull in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened to be beaten 70 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 1/5 lame in the near fore leg. Connections were advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to racing again.

YANKEE IDEAL – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

VAMOS – Pre-race blood sample.

HELLO I TEA – Post-race swab sample.

MAGIC MATTEO – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the event.

RACE 5 – BREED YOUR MARE @ SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1730metres

BETTORS HOPE – Post-race swab sample.

SABELLA SHANNON – Driver T. Bullock pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip in the middle stages of the home straight with more than a wrist only flicking motion. T. Bullock was fined $200.

ROCKET BOY – Pre-race blood sample.

COMPREHEND – Driver A. Frisby reported that when he elected to move three wide near the 600 metres the gelding improved much quicker then he would have liked into the event and therefore was unable to finish the race off. A. Frisby added that it would be his intention to save the gelding for one run in future and closer to the finish of the event. Stewards noted the comments.

GISSELLE – Near the 200 metres hung out and broke. A warning was issued.

RACE 6 – BHRC MEMBERS BADGE DRAW NEXT WEEK PACE – 1730metres
STORMBOY STAR – Stewards questioned Driver A. Frisby in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened from the 400 metres. A. Frisby stated that the gelding travelled well until approaching the 400 metres at which point it was under pressure and failed to finish the event off. A. Frisby added that connections advised that the stable runners had performed below expectations in recent days and that there may be an underlying issue within the stable. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

FRONTIER – Near the 100 metres sustained a flat off side sulky wheels with JOES REDEMPTION which was galloping made contact despite the efforts of its driver. Trainer A. Turnbull advised that it would be her intention for the gelding to leave her stable.

JOES REDEMPTION – Near the 100 metres became unbalanced and galloped and as a result improved onto the back of FRONTIER and contacted its off side sulky wheel. A warning was issued.

BATED BREATH – Pre-race blood sample.

SPEEDY SPORT – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 7 – BCIT PACE – 1730Metres

THE RINGMASTER – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

CRAZY SHIPPO – Pre-race blood sample. Driver B. McDonough was fined $200 for careless driving in that near the 600 metres when shifting wider on the track contacted the offside sulky wheel of GIRL JUST FLY which as a result was flattened.

HUMMING TOP – Post-race swab sample.

GIRL JUST FLY – Near the 500 metres sustained a flat offside sulky wheel.

RACE 8 – EQUISSAGE PACE – 2260metres

ROCKNROLL RAMBO – Post-race swab sample.

SONNY WRITER – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
