RACE 1 – LADIES AT TABLE ONE APPRECIATION PACE – 2270 metres

BINALONG WEEK – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

THEVICEPRESIDENT – ($5.50) Raced roughly passing the 300m. Trainer Greg Norman was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 25.6m after trailing the leader throughout. Mr Norman advised the gelding to be disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance other than the gelding has performed inconsistent in recent starts & failed to race in a genuine manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 2 – CATTLEWASH @ YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres

AELLA BY – Driver Tom Gilligan was issued a reprimand for shifting ground approaching the 400m which inconvenienced SNEAK A PEEK NZ.

ROCKNROLL TALLARA – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

PIRANI PRINCESS – Tightened & inconvenienced approaching the 400m when ROCK THE NATION NZ shifted outwards.

LUVTOO – Held up over the latter stages of the event.

SNEAK A PEEK NZ – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event. Inconvenienced approaching 400m when AELLA BY shifted outwards. Hung inwards and yielded ground from the 400m to be beaten 69.4m. A warning was issued against the mare’s racing competitiveness.

ROCK THE NATION NZ – Driver Harrison Ross was issued a reprimand for shifting ground approaching the 400m which tightened & inconvenienced PIRANI PRINCESS.

RACE 3– THANKYOU CHRIS WILSON PACE –1740 metres

KEAYANG LADYBUG – Yielded from the 500m to be beaten 50.3m. A warning was issued against the mares racing competiveness.

OUR ROCKU – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

RACE 4– NIXONS ENGINEERING APPRECIATION PACE –1740 metres

SCARED STIFF NZ – Pre-race swab. Held up during the early stages of the event prior to obtaining clear running.

WENDYS WISH – Post-race swab.

EMMAS BOY NZ – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle & jibbed however in position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the geldings barrier manners. 

ZAMBIA NZ – ($5.00) Driver Cameron Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand for half carting passing the 800m. Mr Fitzpartick was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 8th position beaten 10.8m. Mr Fitzpartick advised the gelding hung inwards passing the 400m and lost momentum combined the gelding having to improve three (3) wide from the 600m in a fast final half of 55.4 seconds. Trainer Dean Atkinson advised the gelding to be disappointing and it would be his intentions to obtain blood samples in the coming days and would advise stewards of the results. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

**Supplementary Report 11th October 2024**

Trainer Dean Atkinson reported blood sample results failed to reveal any abnormalities. Mr Atkinson reported the gelding to be displaying saddle boils which he will monitor & may have contributed to the reason for the gelding hanging inwards. Mr Atkinson advised he would continue with the current preparation of the gelding.

RACE 5 – BRUCE HARPLEY APPRECIATION PACE – 2270 metres

General: The start of this event was delayed two (2) minutes due to Race 5 at Sunshine Coast Thoroughbreds being behind their scheduled starting time.

POLKA DOT DANCE NZ – Held up during the early stages of the event.

EYEDIDNTLOSEIT – Pre-race swab.

MAJOR MUCHA – Raced roughly entering the first turn. Post-race swab.

BURTON – Driver David Druitt was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 168(1)(a) for carelessly manoeuvring his head back into the vicinity of MILWOOD GRACE NZ which inconvenienced the mare momentarily.

RACE 6 – MILBRAE QUARRIES PACE – 2270 metre

General: Due to continual rainfall prior to this event the mobile barrier was tested & passed suitable for the meeting to continue.

This event was subsequently shown on SKY Racing 2 due to Moonee Valley thoroughbreds having alternative time changes.  

CAPTAIN CHEDDAR – ($1.70 Fav) Raced roughly after the start was effected a warning was issued against CAPTAIN CHEDDAR barrier manners. Driver Nathan Jack was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 12.5m after trailing the leader throughout. Mr Jack attributed the performance to the gelding over racing after being urged forward at the start combined racing over the longer distance & CAPTAIN CHEDDAR may have come to the end of its campaign. Mr Jack added the stable would consult with connections in regards to the gelding current campaign.

CEE CEE LOU – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

LITTLE COOL – Hung inwards during the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of LITTLE COOL.

OUTRAGEOUS REBEL – Declared a late scratching at 6:01pm due to a float breakdown.

MAJOR ALLEGIANCE – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

RACE 7 – WALSH & BLAIR LAWYERS APPRECATION 2YO PACE – 1740 metre

General: Due to continual rainfall prior to this event the mobile barrier was tested & passed suitable for the meeting to continue.

TUFFASOLDBOOTS – Post-race swab.

CHANCEUX – Raced greenly and shifted outwards approaching the 700m and locked sulky stays with LA CAVALLETTA. Gave ground from the 400m to be beaten 43m.

HEZA NEEDY – Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected & entering the first turn.

HOMEBOUND – Declared a late scratching at 6:01pm due to a float breakdown.

LA CAVALLETTA – Pre-race swab. Locked sulky stays with CHANCEUX when it raced greenly and shifted outwards approaching the 700m.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metre

General: Due to continual rainfall prior to this event the mobile barrier was tested & passed suitable for the meeting to continue.

TEXAN BRANACH – Broke gait for a short distance during the score up at the second attempt.

MISS PIPPA – Inconvenienced passing the 300m when MANKIND commended to give ground.

HIJACK NZ – Hung outwards under pressure inside the final 200m.

COOP DE RED – Declared a late scratching at 6:01pm due to a float breakdown.

MANKIND – Hung outwards & broke gait during the latter stages of the score up severely checking LOTUSBIRD and a false start being declared. Fractious during the score up at the second attempt and was out of position when the start was effected. MANKIND will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

LOTUSBIRD – severely checked during the score up at the first attempt.

ALWAYS ADORNED – Post-race swab.

BERRYLICIOUS – Pre-race swab. Raced greenly and shifted outwards passing the 200m.
