RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2170 metres
THE EX HORSEIST – Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.
WHERE YA BIN NZ – Tired over the concluding stages and was beaten by a considerable margin, connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
SHES A WARRAWEE – Raced roughly entering the first turn. Hung-out near the 1000 metres. Hung-out and raced greenly near the 200 metres, connections were advised the filly would be placed on its last chance to race truly.
PLAN CE – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Driver S Hallcroft reported that the gelding’s tongue-tie had broken, which he felt was in the early stages of the race, subsequently it had difficulty with its breathing and may have choked down. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
BE GOOD MIKI – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres.
RACE 2 – NEW YEARS FIREWORKS AT ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres
OUR CHEEKY DEVIL – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
ASHFORD SHARK – Declared a late scratching at 4.35pm after Stewards received a call from Trainer’s representative T Gilligan advising that the mare could not be loaded on to their float. Connections were advised the mare would be required to complete a re-qualifying trial.
ABRAHAM – Hung-in and broke gait after entering the first turn, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
JUSTCALLIMREX – Raced roughly after entering the first turn, for which a warning was issued.
SCOTTIE MACH – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when JUSTCALLIMREX raced roughly and shifted out.
RACE 3 – ASGARDIAN SECURITY PACE – 1770 metres
WONGALEA MEG – Driver J Painting was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the mare, he stated that he was disappointed with her effort over the concluding stages. He added she may not have liked the bit of mid-race pressure applied by CRESCO THREEPEAT but felt based on her last start felt it wasn’t anything more than she should have handled. Trainer M Painting stated he was very disappointed with her run and at a loss to explain it. He added he was very confident of a forward showing tonight, based on its last start and how it had worked since then.
OUR ROCKY – Pre-race swab sampled.
PARTY IDEA – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start. Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. Connections were advised the mare would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
CRESCO THREEPEAT – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.
BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres. Driver A Dean was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for allowing the mare to shift in and contact marker pegs.
ROLL THE ACES – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 4 – BECOME A SPONSOR FOR 2025 PACE – 1770 metres
SPEEDY SPIDA – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight. Driver J Locke was issued with a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(www)(b) for not making sufficient effort to prevent his runner from shifting out in the home straight, as a result SHEZ BETTORS BABE and TYABB WONDER shifted wider. Post-race swab sampled.
GLAMORS SYMBOL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
TYABB WONDER – Pre-race swab sampled. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.
RACE 5 – DLG ALUMINIUM AND GLAZING PACE – 1770 metres
SMOKIN TALLY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 14 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
SMILE WITH A GRIN – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.
LACHIES DELIGHT – Post-race swab sampled.
GOODTIME JAZZI – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 6 – MARTINS TRAVEL GROUP PACE – 1770 metres
SOKYS FALCON – Declared a late scratching at 7.57pm after Stewards received a call from Trainer T Rutland advising that his float had broken down and he was not going to be able to be on-course by the required time.
JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1400 metres. Hung-in and contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres.
NO MORE PROMISES – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
ALL SO SASSY – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide without cover from near the 1000 metres, until working forward to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 400 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
