RACE 1 – HARVEYS NEWCASTLE PACE – 1609 metres
WHISKEY GIRL NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
HALSEY NICOLE – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 2 – HARVEYS NEWCASTLE – HARRY POTTER PACE – 1609 metres
THEARTOFINFUSION – Pre-race sample was taken. Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
HEY MISTER TAYLOR – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
SWEET CREATION – When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance driver G Panella explained that with the early favourite being scratched intentions were to lead the race. She further added after beginning well had to take hold and gain cover coming into the home straight on the first occasion due to the quick tempo. G Panella further put forward that when asked for an effort over the concluding stages failed to respond and was disappointing over the concluding stages.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance driver B Elder explained that with the late scratching of the favourite the intension was to be forward in the event. He added that after beginning well had worked harder than anticipated to find the position in the lead. He further added that raced well over the concluding stages and was satisfied in its efforts.
MAMMALS RIDDLE – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
POLKA DELIGHT NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 3 – ALL ACCESS SOLUTIONS PACE – 1609 metres
MAURLEN BOY – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
THE FORTUNATE SON – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
LIGHTNING BOB – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
RACE 4 – MECHLEC PACE – 1609 metres
MAJOR REASON – Pre-race sample was taken.
WAVETHEBILL NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
ROCKTAGONAL – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RACE 5 – WANDIYALI HAWKESBURY TO HUNTER FINAL – 2030 metres
AVAIDEN – Post-race sample was taken.
SEVEN RIPPIN ACES – Pre-race sample was taken. Gave ground over the concluding stages.
REPARTEE NZ – Driver B Hughes pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2)(a) in that when applying the whip over the concluding stages employed an action which engaged the shoulder. Driver B Hughes was fined the sum of $400.
RACE 6 – WOOLASTON SHEDS PACE – 2030 metres
TAP OUT – Driver L Rando was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to be in position as the start was affected. Slow away as the start was affected.
IMA SWEET TORQUE NZ – Broke stride as the field entered the first turn. A warning was issued. It was reported post-race that the near side knee boot had dropped after it had galloped.
SEEKING PLEASURE – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Post-race sample was taken.
LOUIGI – Pre-race sample was taken. Hampered shortly after the start was affected when trailing TAP OUT which was slow away.
RACE 7 – ASSURANCE PROTECTION AND INVESTIGATION PACE – 2030 metres
GOODTME SAILOR – Pre-race sample was taken.
TAFL MOVE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
GIGI I GOT THIS – Tightened for racing room and raced roughly for a short distance prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish.
IRE OF THE DRAGON – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
BUSINESS IN HEAVEN – Veered in passing the 50 metres. A warning was issued. Post-race sample was taken.
BRING YOUR BEST – Pre-race sample was taken. Driver B Elder was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish permitted his runner to shift wider which placed GIGI I GOT THIS in restricted room when to the inside of TAFL MOVE and as a result was hampered and raced roughly for a short distance.
SINBINNED – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RACE 8 – HARVEYS NEWCASTLE PACE – 2030 metres
LA DERNIERE – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event whilst leading.
BRAVE BONDI – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
MARVELLA – Post-race sample was taken.
SILVER LADY NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
ROCKNROLL TONY – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
MACH CHARM – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
