RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres
KRISTYSGIRL – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer G Lang for the late declaration of Driver for the filly. Driver P McRae was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 1200 metres he shifted the gelding in when not sufficiently clear of MICKEY BE NIMBLE which was inconvenienced.
DOLLAR BROWNIE – Raced roughly after the start, as it was the filly’s third race start, connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Driver R Coelli was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 200 metres he shifted the gelding out when not sufficiently clear of FEAR THE PAIN NZ resulting in the two runners locking wheels and being inconvenienced.
WAMBOYNE MACHETE – Inconvenienced near the 200 metres when DOLLAR BROWNIE and FEAR THE PAIN NZ locked wheels.
MICKEY BE NIMBLE – Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when KRISTYSGIRL shifted-in.
MISSAUDACIOUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1000 metres. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races. Post-race swab sampled.
FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Locked wheels with DOLLAR BROWNIE near the 200 metres and was inconvenienced.
RACE 2 – YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres
HES A TERROR – Hung-in entering the first turn. Driver P McRae was questioned regarding the tactics adopted with the gelding, he stated that it is normally fairly slow out and he felt it began reasonably for it today, but felt there was good speed from the majority of the other runners on the front row, which resulted in him being towards the rear of the field by the time they were entering the first turn. He added that he felt the lead time and first half of the last mile was run fairly quickly, and didn’t feel FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ was going to easily surrender the position outside the leader, so felt he would have to work too hard to get a forward position in the early or middle stages of the event. He further added he felt his best option was then to wait to attempt to make a final run through the field from nearing the 400 metres.
CHEEZ – Post-race swab sampled.
YERING SOHO – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 3 – BOOTS CIVIL ENGINEERING PACE – 1740 metres
SHOOBEES CHARM – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Driver T Osmond was questioned regarding the tactics adopted with the mare, in particular her shifting out from behind the leader leaving the 400 metres which resulted in her being held up in the home straight when there appeared to be an opportunity to stay behind that runner and wait to gain a run in the sprint lane which would have afforded her runner clear running from that point. T Osmond stated that she felt DEE TERROR which was racing to the outside of LUVTOO had commenced to gain an advantage over it rounding the home turn and she felt LUVTOO was not going to take her to the sprint lane with momentum so elected to shift out behind DEE TERROR leaving the 400 metres. She added that once she had shifted out a short distance later her runner was in a position where it had improved to the outside of LUVTOO and she would have been unable to shift back down. She further added that she anticipated gaining a run in the home straight between DEE TERROR and LUVTOO but that did not eventuate when LUVTOO kicked back. While Stewards were of the view that with the benefit of hindsight T Osmond would have been better off waiting for the run in the sprint lane, and given her explanation for shifting out at the time she did was supported by the patrol footage, did not believe her driving in today’s race was culpable under the rules.
LUVTOO – Pre-race swab sampled.
DEE TERROR – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 4 – HYGAIN.COM.AU PACE – 1740 metres
TINNYSMEDAD – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
FULLOFFIGHT NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued. ARTS FELLA – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 200 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.
SHES A WARRAWEE – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 5 – JACINTA BODEL HOMES PACE – 1740 metres
WEONA MISS MIKI – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced roughly for a short distance near the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 6 – GENESIS CATERING PACE – 1740 metres

MR BONDI NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
GOTTA HAV ME NZ – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the lead from MAJOR ALLEGIANCE leaving the 1200 metres.
RACE 7 – ATWORTHY PARK STANDARDBREDS PACE – 2270 metres
DASHING – Hung-out leaving the 1200 metres when challenged for the lead by THE GREEK GENERAL. Post-race swab sampled.
LEAVEMEOUT – Pre-race swab sampled.
THE GREEK GENERAL – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres. Driver B Hewitt was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that he felt it was not a bad run. He added that he made the three wide move in the hope of being able to get to the lead and when he was unable to get to the lead was left facing the breeze. He further added that if they had of been able to get to the lead that it would have been more competitive at the finish, but felt it racing outside the leader from the 1000 metres possibly took a toll on it over the concluding stages.
RACE 8 – BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1740 metres
MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ – Declared a late scratching at 9.18am on Vet’s advice.
