RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1980 metres

ILLUSTRATION – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped.  Trainer/driver Miss G Panella was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.  Pulled very hard during the middle stages.  Raced roughly for a short distance passing the 1000 metres, then broke stride entering the home straight with a lap remaining.  Trainer Miss G Panella was further advised that the provision of last chance to race truly would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

LACHIES GAMBLE – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped.  Connections were advised that the gelding would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

TASMANS DELIGHT – Post-race swab sample.

MUDDY MONTANA – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – MULTIQUIP – SOLUTIONS FOR AGRICULTURE PACE – 1609 metres

THREE PARTS GREY – Driver G Panella reported that despite her continued efforts the hopple shorteners failed to release at any stage.

LOOKAT MEE – Post-race swab sample.

MIDAS SHANNON – Pre-race blood sample.  Raced intractably during the score up and was out of position at the start.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

BRADNESS BRANDRISI – Pre-race blood sample.

GERRYS JEWEL – Weakened noticeably inside the 500 metres and tailed the field.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.  Trainer Mr J Donovan said that GERRYS JEWEL would be spelled.  Notwithstanding this advice, Mr Donovan was told that prior to racing again GERRYS JEWEL must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

FRANCOS DELIGHT – Could not be driven into position at the start and was slow away.  Trainer/driver Miss G Panella was advised that the filly would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.  Raced roughly for a short distance passing the 1400 metres, then broke stride free of any external factors passing the 100 metres. Miss Panella was further advised that prior to racing again FRANCOS DELIGHT must perform satisfactorily in an official qualifying trial.

RACE 4 – LOUNGES PLUS PRE-CHRISTMAS SALE PACE – 1609 metres

HEY DUDE – Pre-race blood sample.

ZACHAROONI – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – RACING THURSDAY 2^ND JANUARY 2025 PACE – 1609 metres

REMEMBER BUBBLES – Galloped away when the start was affected.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.  Had to be checked very severely and was forced off the racing circuit when racing inside FLEUR BELLA which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its driver. 

ZOEMAGIC – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.  Post-race swab sample.

GLITTER STRIP – When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted particularly inside the 1000 metres trainer/driver Mr D Elder explained that after obtaining a forward position in the early stages in accordance with the geldings established racing pattern, he was challenged approaching the winning post with a lap remaining by MAJOR GENERALJUJON. He said that he drove with vigour at this time to resist as the tempo had been moderate and he was reluctant to be crossed inside the final lap. He said that after this despite being under constant pressure GLITTER STRIP responded moderately and ran to the finish evenly.

TERROR FLYING – Trainer/driver Mr D Mackney was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

HEAVENLY SONG – Hampered and had to be shifted wider rounding the turn after the start when racing behind FLEUR BELLA and REMEMBER BUBBLES. 

NIGHTWATCH STAR – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.  Had to be checked and broke stride shortly after the start when attempting to avoid REMEMBER BUBBLES which had galloped. 

FLEUR BELLA – Broke stride free of any external factors rounding the turn after the start, took charge of its driver, shifted in abruptly, made heavy contact with REMEMBER BUBBLES and left the racing circuit.  Trainer/driver Miss G Panella was advised that prior to racing again FLEUR BELLA must perform tractably in an official trial.

LISASPANGLEDSTAR – Hung out during the score up and was out of position at the start.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s record.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.  Pre-race blood sample.  When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted particularly inside the 1000 metres trainer/driver Mr T Ison explained that due to the moderate tempo he shifted wider from that point and attempted to drive to the lead. he said that despite the gelding’s strong response to his urgings, he was unable to cross GLITTER STRIP and was trapped wide for the final lap. He added that despite this his drive maintained a strong response throughout and ran to the finish well under the circumstances. He said that in future he would attempt to obtain a more forward position in the geldings’ races, if the circumstances arose.

 

RACE 6 – TAMWORTH CLASSIC FIRE ENGINE CLUB – SANTA PACE – 1980 metres

PEPPA BLISS – Post-race swab sample.

SKY DIAMOND NZ – Raced for a short distance approaching the winning post on the first occasion when attempting to establish the lead.

AMILLION PROMISES – Pulled hard during the middle stages.

BEE SEVENTEEN – Raced in restricted room approaching and rounding the home turn then unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.

DOLLARSIGN – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 7 – CHRISTMAS GIFT BOX PACE – 1980 metres

SHE WHO DARES – Galloped away when the start was affected.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on mare’s record.  Hampered and had to be shifted wider near the 1000 metres when racing outside TISBURY ROCKS NZ.

TISBURY ROCKS NZ – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 1000 metres and galloped for some distance.  Connections were advised that prior to racing again TISBURY ROCKS NZ must perform tractably in an official trial. 

MISTER ARTIKULATE – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 1400 metres.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

RAINBOW JET – Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and was held up for a considerable distance in the home straight and was unable to be fully tested.

MY ULTIMATE COSSIE – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke stride for a short distance in the score up.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.  Hampered slightly and shifted wider approaching the winning post with a lap remaining when avoiding TISBURY ROCKS NZ.

SMOLENSKI – Had to be steadied and shifted wider in the home straight with a lap remaining when forced to avoid TISBURY ROCKS NZ.

RACE 8 – SEASONS GREETINGS FROM TAMWORTH HRC PACE – 1609 metres

PURE DRAGON – The saddle cloth became detached approaching the 600 metres and slipped to the off side of the filly, then approaching the 400 metres PURE DRAGON raced erratically, shifted in abruptly, took charge of its driver and left the racing circuit.  PURE DRAGON was restrained in the in field by the clerk of the course.  Connections were advised that prior to racing again PURE DRAGON must perform tractably in an official trial.

THOMAS ROYAL – Pre-race blood sample. 

UNSULLY – Pulled hard for some distance in the early stages when being restrained from its wide position to obtain cover.
