RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres
GLAMORS SYMBOL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
LUVTOO – Post-race swab sampled.
REDBANK HARRY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
HES A TERROR – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.
HUMMING TOP – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.
SIGNOR JUJON – Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.
MOP NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 2 – CATTLEWASH @ YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres
IM DUSTEE – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide from the start until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Continued to work forward to take over the lead from FOXYONTHERUN near the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
MIGHTY JOLT – Trainer’s representative B Hewitt was fined $100 under Rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding to race wearing the incorrect saddlecloth number.
RACE 3 – STROUD HOMES PACE – 1740 metres
PERSONIFIED – Trainer/Driver G Looby was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the filly, he stated that she had trialled well so was expecting a forward showing. He added that the early speed battle may have taken a toll on her being first up and he expected her to take benefit from today’s run. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
LILLY LOTUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
BUBBA NAY – Out of position at the start and raced roughly after the start, as it was the mare’s first race start, connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1000 metres.
LENS LEGACY – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.
RACE 4 – SOUTHWEST STOCKFEEDS PACE – 1740 metres
TINNYSMEDAD – Fractious at the beginning of the score-up, for which a warning was issued. Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when DOLLAR BROWNIE broke gait.
KENZAYA – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight, while held up contacted the sulky wheel of FEAR THE PAIN NZ approaching the finish line.
JANIE BLU – Galloped out at the start, given it was only the filly’s third race start, connections were advised that she would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when DOLLAR BROWNIE broke gait.
DOLLAR BROWNIE – Broke gait free of interference rounding the turn approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Pre-race swab sampled. Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when DOLLAR BROWNIE broke gait.
FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when DOLLAR BROWNIE broke gait. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
DANCING ART – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.
RACE 5 – STEEL SUPPLIES WAGGA PACE – 1740 metres
OKANUI BEACH – Post-race swab sampled.
LENNY LINCOLN NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
OTTOS WEALTH – Raced roughly for a short distance near the 1400 metres.
RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1740 metres
ALWAYS ADORNED – Fractious at the beginning of the score-up, for which a warning was issued, as a result was out of position at the candy pole.
TOORAM MAGIC – Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.
ABERCROMBIE ART – Hung-out after the start. Checked and broke a short distance later when TOORAM MAGIC broke gait.
SECRET SEA – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
NEEDBEE – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
RACE 7 – TASCO PETROLEUM PACE – 1740 metres
RINGOS A STAR – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.
METAL ROCK – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres.
OUR REBEL YELL – Pre-race swab sampled. Shifted out under pressure near the 200 metres, as a result BARWEN STORM was able to obtain a run to its inside, Driver H Ross was advised to exercise more care to ensure his runners don’t shift ground in a similar manner in future. H Ross was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that he felt he could lead today’s field and if he was able to would be a good chance in the race. He added that after getting to the lead the gelding didn’t really travel well on the bit and he was disappointed with its run. He further added that it may be better driven with cover and suggested that to connections following the race.
CHEEZ – Post-race swab sampled.
VILLAGE AREA – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when RINGOS A STAR broke gait.
PLAN CE – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when RINGOS A STAR broke gait.
RACE 8 – WALSH & BLAIR LAWYERS PACE – 1740 metres
LIGHTNING BABY NZ – Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bled from its near side nostril. Connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
DASHING – Post-race swab sampled.
CARBINEER – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.
SCARED STIFF NZ – Inconvenienced behind the tiring LIGHTNING BABY NZ near the 400 metres.
JILLIBY FABIO – Pre-race swab sampled.
