RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2100 metres

 

KERPAT JOY – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.

ROCK STEADY – Post-race swab sampled.

IM BELIEBER – Pre-race swab sampled.

BETABRO – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

NIRVANA PRINCE – Checked after the start when KERPAT JOY broke gait. Tired over the concluding stages of the race. Trainer/Driver M Rue was questioned regarding the performance, he stated that it had been working well and he had expected a forward showing in tonight’s race. He added that he was disappointed with its effort and was somewhat relieved when he heard the Veterinary report that there was something amiss. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be suffering from the thumps. Stewards acting on Veterinary advice, advised connections it would be stood down from racing for seven days.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1600 metres.

 

RACE 2 – SANTA @ YOUNG HARNESS RACING PACE – 1720 metres

 

LESSISMORE – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. Driver S Osmond was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the mare, he stated that after obtaining the lead he wasn’t really able to get an easy sectional given the runner to his outside, BORROWED TIME, running along, which put paid to his runners chances. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

TULHURST WRITER – Pre-race swab sampled.

BORROWED TIME – Post-race swab sampled.

POTTER – Driver M Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 135(1) for not having his runner in the parade ring by the required time.

LOGAN DREAM – Shifted out slightly and locked wheels with TULHURST PEBBLES leaving the 600 metres, was severely checked.

SPORTY MICKILLA – Driver M Rue was fined $50 under Rule 135(1) for not having his runner in the parade ring by the required time.

TULHURST PEBBLES – Hung-in slightly and locked wheels with LOGAN DREAM leaving the 600 metres, was severely checked.

ZULU ZANE – Out of position at the start, connections were advised that it would continue to be placed right outside the draw in mobile start races.

 

RACE 3 – RIVERINA STOCKFEEDS PACE – 1720 metres

 

FLIRTS DIVA – Pre-race swab sampled.

JOES REDEMPTION – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Hung out under pressure in the home straight. Post-race swab sampled.

RIVERINA FLASH – Fractious in the early part and raced roughly during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

LACHIES DELIGHT – Hung-in rounding the turn approaching the 600 metres, and leaving the 400 metres, for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 4 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

 

GENERAL – As the field entered the first turn RUSTY DANCER (M Turnbull) broke gait, and while galloping shifted out and contacted the sulky of GLENBURNS WATERS, resulting in Driver J Field being dislodged from his sulky and GLENBURNS WATERS falling a short distance later, furthermore VIENNA OPERA (J Painting) was severely checked and broke gait. Subsequently, the fall siren was sounded and the race stopped. J Field and M Turnbull, who was kicked in the face when attempting to separate GLENBURNS WATERS and RUSTY DANCER after they had become entangled in the fall, were transported to the Young Hospital for further assessment to their injuries. Both of those Drivers are stood down from driving for a period of 12 days under the HRNSW Concussion Policy and will be required to obtain medical clearances prior to resuming driving. An inquiry into the incident will be conducted at a later date when the required Drivers are available to attend. Prior to the re-running of the race, all-runners were examined by the Club Veterinarian and passed fit to start, with the exception of GLENBURNS WATERS and RUSTY DANCER, who were declared late scratching’s at 8.30pm on Vet’s advice. As a result of the re-running of this race, races 5 to 7 were re-scheduled to later times.

RUSTY DANCER – Broke gait entering the first turn at the first attempt to run the race, while galloping shifted out and contacted the sulky of GLENBURNS WATERS, resulting in that runner falling and the race being stopped. An inquiry into this incident was adjourned to a date to be set. Examined by the Club Veterinarian and found to have grazes on the outside of both hindlimbs which it received treatment for and was declared a late scratching at 8.30pm. Connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 7 days and they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the mare prior to its next race start.

MUSCLE TOWN – Pre-race swab sampled. Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Tired over the concluding stages of the race and beaten a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination of the filly revealed it to be suffering from the thumps. Stewards acting on Veterinary advice, advised connections it would be stood down from racing for seven days. Furthermore, given its overall performance connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. Trainer N Hargraves reported that it was his intention to spell the filly following tonight’s performance.

GLENBURNS WATERS – Sulky contacted by the galloping RUSTY DANCER entering the first turn at the first attempt to run the race, resulting in Driver J Field being dislodged from his sulky and the filly falling a short distance later and the race being stopped. Examined by the Club Veterinarian and found to have grazes over its offside hip and above the eye which it received treatment for and was declared a late scratching at 8.30pm. Connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 7 days and they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the filly prior to its next race start.

CERISE RAINBOW – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Broke gait rounding the first turn, for which a warning was issued.

AMERICAN BOULEVARD – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race.

XCITE ME NZ – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Raced fiercely while leading during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.

ABERCROMBIE LIMBO – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Checked from behind the tiring MUSCLE TOWN near the 400 metres.

BULLI BELLE – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race.

VIENNA OPERA – Severely checked when RUSTY DANCER galloped resulting in GLENBURNS WATERS falling entering the first turn at the first attempt to run the race. Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race.

TULHURST JANET – Race was stopped, examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 5 – YOUNG SERVICES CLUB PACE – 1720 metres

 

JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Hung-in after the start. Broke gait free of interference leaving the 800 metres, for which a warning was issued. Obtained a run to the inside of GRINFARON approaching the 400 metres. Hung-in and contacted marker pegs near the 400 metres, for which a further warning was issued.

FOGWATCH – Inconvenienced leaving the 800 metres when JACKS LAST HOO RAA broke gait.

ONE HORN BILLY – Post-race swab sampled.

LEAD ROLE – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position on the marker pegs at the rear of the field leaving the 1200 metres. Inconvenienced leaving the 800 metres when JACKS LAST HOO RAA broke gait. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

DEAD EYE TIKI – Pre-race swab sampled. Inconvenienced leaving the 800 metres and contacted marker pegs as a result when JACKS LAST HOO RAA broke gait. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

SEEMESHINEYHEELS – Checked and raced roughly leaving the 800 metres when JACKS LAST HOO RAA broke gait.

GRINFARON – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres. Obtained the lead approaching the 600 metres, when JACKS LAST HOO RAA broke gait. Hung-out when leading leaving the 600 metres, as a result JACKS LAST HOO RAA was able to obtain a run to its inside, given the circumstances connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

 

RACE 6 – SOUTHWEST TRACTORS PACE – 1720 metres

 

JACKS GAMBLE – Hung-in and contacted marker pegs entering the first turn.

PIPPA CHEER – Hung-in entering the first turn.

WAMBOYNE MACHETE – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued. Hung-out entering the first turn. Post-race swab sampled.

REVEILLE JET – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight.

MYGIRLVENUS Veered-in while leading approaching the 400 metres and raced inside a number of marker pegs as a result, given it was the filly’s first race start connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

FULL OF SPICE – Out of position at the start, given the filly’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Inconvenienced rounding the first turn when CALM FRANCO broke gait.

CALM FRANCO – Pre-race swab sampled. Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start. Tightened for room when racing to the inside of PIPPA CHEER entering the first turn, when that runner hung-in, contacted marker pegs and broke gait as a result.

HESKOALATEE – Checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when CALM FRANCO broke gait.

THINK IT BLING – Checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when CALM FRANCO broke gait.

THINK CHRISTI – Inconvenienced entering the first turn when WAMBOYNE MACHETE hung-out. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres.

 

RACE 7 – SWSBANK 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

 

LAST FLITE – Hung-in slightly leaving the 400 metres, as a result MISS TIGER contacted its sulky wheel, when taken wider by MARABELLE.

MARABELLE – Raced greenly and leaving the 400 metres shifted, resulting in MISS TIGER being tightened for room between it and LAST FLITE which hung-in slightly.

ELLENS DELIGHT – Over-raced while leading during the middle stages of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Driver B Jones was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectation performance of the filly, he stated that it pulled too hard which put paid to its chances.

MISS TIGER – Tightened for room leaving the 400 metres between MARABELLE which shifted out and LAST FLITE which hung-in slightly, as a result contacted the sulky wheel of LAST FLITE and was checked and raced roughly.

GIBBS – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide without cover from approaching the 800 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 8 – QUAYLE MILLING PACE – 1720 metres

 

COMPLICATED – Pre-race swab sampled. Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, and was cleared to start. Hung-in and contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres.

WEENEEDDREAMS – Trainer S Adams was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the mare, which was having its first start for him, he stated that he hadn’t had it in his stable for very long but felt it was down in grade and if it raced similarly to how it had previously he was confident of a forward showing in tonight’s field. Post-race swab sampled.

ALICE ON THE BEACH – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

MI MATE RON – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

MIDNIGHT TERROR – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.

MISS PIPPA – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 9 – HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres

 

MISTER REBEL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

WATCH AND WEEP – Pre-race swab sampled.

ALPHA XENA – Post-race swab sampled.
