RACE 1 – SOLD @ APG SALES TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres
ELLOWEEN – Slow to begin. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 300 metres for which the mare was stood down until it completes two requalifying trials and for a period of 10 days.
MAJESTIC BREEZE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1850 metres.
LAIR OF THE EAGLE – Worked forward to obtain the lead approaching the 1450 metres. Post-race swab sample.
MAJESTIC BART – Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 200 metres for which a warning was issued.
RACE 2 – PETER CARSON MEMORIAL – 2300 metres
KEAYANG SADIE – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Trailed the field throughout and raced roughly at various stages.
SHOULD BEABARCA – Post-race swab sample.
MY LIGHTNING MCQUEEN NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.
ITZFERGIETIME – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight before obtaining a run to the inside of HOT TO TROT NZ passing the 200 metres and brushed two marker pegs.
HOT TO TROT NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1800 metres.
RACE 3 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres
SWEET MAMA NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.
ALL STAR MAGICIAN – Over raced when caught racing three wide in the early stages until obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1200 metres.
CLEMENTSORRELL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 13 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
TESTO BROMAC – Hung in during the score up and was out of position at the start for which it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Hung in whilst under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.
JOGALONG BLUE – Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 4 – SUMMERTIME PREMIUM POULTRY PACE – 1609 metres
MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
BALTUSROL – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres. Post-race swab sample.
JUST HOME GROWN NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1150 metres.
SHARK DANCER – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.
GIMME A REASON – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 950 metres.
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1150 metres.
RACE 5 – BREED YOUR MARE AT SUCCESS STUD PACE -1609 metres
THE TAX CULLECTOR – Stewards questioned Driver J Douglass in relation to the performance of the gelding when giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 12 metres ($3.30 fav). Mr Douglass explained he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance in today’s event and could offer no further explanation into the performance.
DOM TORETTO NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres
ELOUSIA DALE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
TIMELY SOVEREIGN - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
MONTEFIORE NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres. Stewards questioned Driver W Rixon in relation to the gelding ($4.40) giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 20 metres and finishing in 7th position. Mr Rixon explained that he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance and noted that although being caught wide in the early stages hadn’t been placed under significant pressure and could offer no further explanation into the disappointing performance.
OUR CHIQUITITA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the right fore and acting on veterinary advice the mare was stood down until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – HYLAND HARNESS GEAR PACE – 1609 metres
CAPTAIN BLOOD – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
COMPETE – Driver J Grimson was fined $50 under Rue 210 for failing to declare J Callaghan as the driver by the prescribed time. Post-race swab sample.
