Due to the rain and track conditions, all runners were required to have mud guards fitted to their sulkies.

 

RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAP APP TODAY PACE – 2030 metres

CAPTAIN GEM – Had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event and when leaving the 900 metres commenced to shift to the inside of the field and appeared to have choked down. Driver J Gallagher reported it had choked down and as a result failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

THE WAY SHE IS – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Driver G Andrews explained the mare failed to travel at any stage of the event. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

LUCKY RICTOR – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – PITCHER PARTNERS PACE – 1609 metres

HY FILANTE – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Driver B Elder could not offer any suitable explanation for the performance. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

PENURIOUS – Post-race swab sample.

JOHNNY DEE – Pre-race blood sample.

ILLUSTRATION – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up. Connections were advised given its recent record it would be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride prior to the field entering the home straight for the run to the finish. A warning was issued. Driver G Panella was reprimanded under Rule 170(1)(a) for allowing her foot to drop away from the foot rest over the concluding stages whilst under pressure.

 

RACE 3 – PSC INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1609 metres

FLEUR BELLA – Pre-race blood sample.

JEFFCOATE – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 4 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

GROSESTAR – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

GLITTER STRIP – Fractious in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. A warning as issued.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 5 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

MISTER CHEESE – Post-race swab sample.

LONGWINDINGROAD – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 6 – NSWSOA HUNTER NORTH WEST MEMBERS BONUS HEAT 3 – 2030 metres

JOHNSON STEP NZ – Driver D murphy was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to the time standards for the first half of the last mile. Post-race swab sample.

BEANCOUNTER – Had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event and when leaving the back straight on the final occasion commenced to race roughly. A warning was issued. Commenced to weaken from that point.

RACE 7 – NSWSOA HUNTER NORTH WEST MEMBERS BONUS HEAT 4 – 2030 metres

IGNITE THE FIRE – Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Callaghan explained after racing somewhat roughly after shortly after the start was effected had a tendency to over race whilst racing behind the leader and was somewhat disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

BETTOR CHEER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

HIDDEN DELIGHT NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

SWEETLY SPOKEN – Post-race swab sample.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ – Upon request from connections was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH - Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 8 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres
