RACE 1 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP TROTTERS MOBILE 1609 meters
CEE ARE SEVEN – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.
PROHIBITED LOVE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Post-race swab samples were obtained.
ONE PINEVALE HILL – Out of position at the start. A warning was issued.
G O A T USA – Passing the 100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of its recent good record a warning was issued.
VALLEY STAR NZ – Held up clear running in the early stages of home straight and approaching the 100 metres was checked when G O A T USA broke gait.
PHARISEE – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.
MILITARY MERIT – Out of position at the start. A warning was issued.
BUNDALONG MOON – Broke gait during the score up and was out of position at the start. In view of the gelding’s recent record connections were advised that BUNDALONG MOON would be placed right outside of the draw in future mobile barrier events.
RAKERO WARRIOR NZ – Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 2 – ALLCOTT HIRE ALL AREAS TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
VIKSUN – Tired over the concluding stages.
WE CAN HAVE IT ALL – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Broke gait during the score up and was out of position at the start. In view of its recent record connections were advised that WE CAN HAVE IT ALL would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
FOOTTAPPER – Passing the 900 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. Then leaving the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait on a second occasion. Connections were advised that FOOTTAPPER would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory requalifying trial.
HANOVER DA MOON NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
SHOULD BEABARCA – Out of position at the start. A warning was issued.
RACE 3 – HARNESS THE EXCITEMENT WITH APG PACE – 1609 metres
SIMPLES – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
SMIRKIN SERENE – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
SIR CANDY CLOUD – Leaving the 600 metres commenced to race roughly and broke gait and approaching the 500 metres received a heavy contact to the rear of the sulky from BIRDY GAL which collided with that runner. In view of its recent record connections were advised that SIR CANDY CLOUD would now be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and until it can complete two satisfactory requalifying trials.
BIRDY GAL – Leaving the 600 metres commenced to improve to the inside of KILLARA KAMIKAZE which shifted out. Shortly after BIRDY GAL made heavy contact with the rear of the sulky of SIR CANDY CLOUD which was breaking gait. Subsequently BIRDY GAL was severely checked and also broke gait. At a subsequent inquiry driver V Duncan pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that when racing two wide he drove with vigour when there was no available run subsequently BIRDY GAL collided with SIR CANDY CLOUD which had been breaking gait for some distance. As a result, SIR CANDY CLOUD received a significant contact to the rear of the sulky unbalancing driver G Panella and BIRDY GAL was severely checked and broke gait. In assessing penalty consideration was given to plea of guilt and relative inexperience of V Duncan. In addition, consideration was given to the distance in which SIR CANDY CLOUD had been breaking gait for and the consequential effect of the incident. V Duncan had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 10 days. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CONSIDER IT DONE – Leaving the 600 metres had to be steadied and taken wider to avoid SIR CANDY CLOUD which broke gait.
KILLARA KAMIKAZE – Leaving the 600 metres had to be steadied and shifted wider to avoid SIR CANDY CLOUD which was breaking gait.
RACE 4 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL PACE – 1609 metres
CARIBBEAN RUNA – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
AERODYNE GUY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
NOTMUCHUPTOP – Shortly after the start was placed in restricted room by BETTOR BE LUCKY which was taken in by RUM DELIGHT NZ subsequently NOTMUCHUPTOP had to be steadied.
BETTOR BE LUCKY – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected. Shortly after the start was tightened and had to be steadied when RUM DELIGHT NZ shifted in.
RUM DELIGHT NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected. Laid in after the start.
RACE 5 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres
LOUIE DADA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
TENACIOUS D NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
RACE 6 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres
GREY CADILLAC – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Unable to secure clear running until passing the 150 metres.
SHARK DANCER – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
PARALLEL – Inclined to over race when being restrained shortly after the start.
JOGALONG BLUE – Shifted out slightly when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
RACE 7 – HYLAND HARNESS GEAR PACE – 1609 metres
HUNGER STRIKE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
THERES WALLY – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.
ZEN MASTER – Caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 800 metres.
PEPPA BLISS – Raced roughly after the start. A warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres at which point PEPPA BLISS was shifted out.
MR TEDDY NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
