RACE 1 – TEAM TEAL PACE – 2030 metres

GROSESTAR – Pre-race blood sample.

BEANCOUNTER – Pre-race blood sample. Fractious in the early stages at the first attempt at the score up. A warning was issued.

SILVER LADY NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

SHEZA REBEL – Post-race swab sample. Upon request from connections, was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

POPSTAROMAR – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

KISSMELVIS – At the first attempt at the score up Driver G Panella raised her hand indicating for a false start to be declared. She reported the deafener cord had become entangled with the near side hind leg. Cast near fore plate as the field passed the 1000 metres.

 

RACE 2 – RIPPIT GOLF PACE – 1609 metres

OUR IDEAL DREAM NZ – Driver M Ison was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when driving out over the concluding stages she failed to make sufficient effort to prevent her runner from shifting up the track and as a result checked the running of PEPPA BLISS which broke stride. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the small distance that OUR IDEAL DREAM NZ had shifted up the track.

FIRST STRING – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

PEPPA BLISS – Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected. Checked and broke stride inside the final 50 metres.

SUNSHINE PEPPER – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

SIR SIMON – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – HUNTER VALLEY GIFT HEAT 1 – 2030 metres

ALFREDJOHNCRUSADER – Pre-race blood sample.

LOUIE DADA – Hampered when rounding the final turn when trailing weakening runners.

EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN – Contacted the sulky of SINBINNED racing into the back straight on the first occasion as the tempo in the event eased and as a result was checked and broke stride.

APPLIED NZ – Had a tendency to over race whilst leading in the early and middle stages. Post-race swab sample.

SINBINNED – Sustained contact to the sulky racing into the back straight on the first occasion.

 

RACE 4 – HUNTER VALLEY GIFT HEAT 2 – 2030 metres

PENURIOUS – Pre-race blood sample.

IMPERIAL NIGHT – Post-race swab sample.

OHWHATIWOULDGIVE – Driver B Elder was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being effected. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

ULTIMATE CRUZA – Driver M Formosa was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being effected.

BODYLINE – had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 5 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 2030 metres

MAID OF MONEY – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

RYANS GANGSTER – Broke stride approaching the 600 metres. A warning was issued.

MAJOR REASON – Pre-race blood sample. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

SECRET WISH – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

JACQUELINE ROSE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

SHEZA LENNY – When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance, Driver R Morris explained when racing down the home straight with a lap remaining the tempo in the event had eased and he elected to attempt a move 3 wide however at that stage the tempo quickened and he was left racing 3 wide. He further added SHEZA LENNY travelled well racing down the back straight on the final occasion however when entering the turn commenced to hang in and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Stewards noted is comments.

SPICYSHANNON – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 7 – AVE TCHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

RAINBOW REASON – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up. No action was taken due to the speed of the mobile at that stage.

MISS ADONIS – Hampered and raced roughly as the field entered the first turn.

ABOUT MY TIME – Pre-race blood sample.

GOLDNROCK – Hung in and broke stride as the field entered the first turn. Stewards advised connections that given its poor and limited record GOLDNROCK would be stood down to two requalifying trials in addition to a stand down from racing for a period of 14 days.

SHALAMAR MISS – Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn.

ARMA SPORTSGIRL – Post-race swab sample. 

KILLARA KAMIKAZE – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. Connections were advised it will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

VALIANT CHARGER – Had a tendency to over race in the middle stages of the event.

BREXITT – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

CAPTAIN DORIAN – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

GLITTER STRIP – Pre-race blood sample. Fractious in the early stages of the score up. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

SHADOW ECLIPSE - Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

SLINGSHOT – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

OUR ART CHRISTIAN NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

CRACKABRIE NZ – Post-race swab sample.
