RACE 1 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

TROT TO CHEVRON NZ – Broke stride free of interference passing the 1200 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

VALLEY STAR NZ – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

FLASH KYVALLEY – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

PROHIBITED LOVE – Broke stride free of interference passing the 1200 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

LAST CLANSMAN – Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

MACHO MAN – Pre-race blood sample.

SHOULD BEABARCA - Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it will continue to be placed outside the standing start draw.

RACE 2 – PRYDE’S PROTEINPAK 2YO FILLIES PACE – 1609 metres

BEE MY LOVER – Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the filly. Hung out after the start.

WAT ON EARTH - Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the filly. Slow to begin.

CALA SERENA – Pre-race blood sample.

CONCILIATE – Post-race swab sample.

EAGLEEYE – Raced roughly when shifted wider on the track passing the 200 metres.

THREETWONINE - Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the filly.

RACE 3 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

LOYLOA GOLF – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding had competed on the previous day at Goulburn. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood sample.

WILLS WAY – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

FORTY LOVE – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 5 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

HARLEEQUIN – Held up in the early stages of the home straight until gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

CHEVRON FLIES NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

JAZZY MELEA – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.

MINI MINE YET NZ – Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.

RACE 6 – FARMER JOES OUTLET PACE – 1609 metres

SHADES OF MIKI – Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.

SINALOA – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.

WILL I AM – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

WOODLEA BEAVER NZ – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

PARALLEL – Over raced through the middle stages of the event.

WATCH ME REACT – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 7 – ALLCOTT THUNDER RACE PACE – 1609 metres

LOCHIEL NZ – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

THE BIG END OFTOWN – Pre-race blood sample.

ETERNAL DREAM NZ – Hung in and broke stride free of interference passing the 1000 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

HESITATE – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 8 – BETTORS WISH STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

CASH AND BLING – Placed in restricted room passing the 75 metres when POWER UP NZ hung out under pressure, at a similar point to TITIAN RAIDER hanging in under pressure when racing to its outside.

UNCLE JAY - Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding is 13 years of age. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

POWER UP NZ – Hung out under pressure and placed CASH AND BLING in restricted room to the inside of TITIAN RAIDER. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be suffering from a slow recovery.

QUIET STORM – Pre-race blood sample.

TITIAN RAIDER – Hung in under pressure and placed CASH AND BLING in restricted room to the outside of POWER UP NZ which was hanging out under pressure.

CHEVRON ART NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Stewards questioned Driver Seaton Grima with regards to the improved performance of the gelding. Mr Grima advised Stewards the gelding was a new addition to his stable having only had the one start for him where it sat in a favourable one out one back position but failed to run on over the concluding stages. Mr Grima further advised the horse had continued to work well and trialled good in preparation for today’s event and he felt that driving the horse forward rather than taking cover would be beneficial. Mr Grima further advised that given the improved performance today he would continue to drive the horse in this manner moving forward. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Grima, Stewards determined to note his comments. Post-race swab sample.
