RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1760 metres
TULHURST WRITER – Post-race swab sampled.
WALLY BLASTER – Inconvenienced behind the tiring SKIP ON OVER near the 600 metres.
COMPLICATED – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. Examined by the on-course Veterinarian after it fell in its tie-up stall following the race, which did not reveal any abnormalities.
JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Hung-in approaching the 800 metres. Driver J Turnbull was questioned regarding the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that he was disappointed with its run as he feels it normally races well when driven how it was tonight. He added that it travelled okay in the early stages of the event, but was inclined to run around during the second half of the race and didn’t run on. Trainer L Clement was also queried, he stated that he was disappointed with its run and could offer no tangible explanation for it. He added that it had pulled up well following the race.
SKIP ON OVER – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials. Tired over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery.
REASON TO PARTY – Pre-race swab sampled.
ALLEGRETTO – Broke gait during the score-up, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.
RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1760 metres
SIX TIMES A LADY NZ – Inconvenienced near the 1000 metres when GIRLS VIEW broke gait.
CELEBRITY CRUISE – Pre-race swab sampled.
GIRLS VIEW – Broke gait free of interference while leading near the 1000 metres, given the mare’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Checked near the 1000 metres when GIRLS VIEW broke gait. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
KATLAS DREAM – Checked near the 1000 metres when GIRLS VIEW broke gait. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
OLIVIA SHANNON – Hung-out leaving the 600 metres. Hung-out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 3 – PHOENIX ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS SERVICES PACE – 2170 metres
YA RACIN ARLO – Checked near the 400 metres when HOOKED ON WINNING NZ broke gait.
HOOKED ON WINNING NZ – Hung-in near the 400 metres, for which a warning was issued, then shifted out when being corrected and contacted the sulky wheel of MYSTIFY ME NZ and broke gait.
KING BOBBIE – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of ROMERO near the 200 metres and contacted a number of marker pegs.
TISBURY ROCKS NZ – Post-race swab sampled.
MYSTIFY ME NZ – Sulky wheel contacted by HOOKED ON WINNING NZ near the 400 metres. Held up for clear running until near the 50 metres, hung-out under pressure at that point and inconvenienced ROMERO.
ROMERO – Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Inconvenienced near the 50 metres when MYSTIFY ME NZ shifted out.
RACE 4 – PAT FOLEY MEMORIAL – 1760 metres
SPIRIT LEVEL – Pre-race swab sampled.
SHELL SHOCK NZ – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
MARVELLOUS MAC – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
VAMOS – Driver O Frisby was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that entering the first turn she shifted the gelding in when not sufficiently clear of HERE COMES BOBBY which was tightened, checked and momentarily raced roughly. Post-race swab sampled.
KADAR – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
HERE COMES BOBBY – Tightened entering the first turn when VAMOS shifted in, checked and momentarily raced roughly.
MAJOR MUCHA – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued. Broke gait free of interference near the 1000 metres and again near the 800 metres, connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. Retired from the event leaving the 800 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
RACE 5 – JMA LEGAL PACE – 1760 metres
GLAMOUR FOX – Tired over the concluding stages. Driver P Kahlefeldt was questioned regarding the below market expectation performance of the mare, he stated that she was in season and was quite stirred up in her tie-up stall prior to the race and they were uncertain whether that would result in her running well or not, but clearly she did not and he felt that was the reason. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
ROCKETON – Pre-race swab sampled.
LIFE GETS BETTER – Broke gait free of interference when caught racing three wide and being restrained leaving the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
THE MOUNTAIN – Checked leaving the 1400 metres when LIFE GETS BETTER broke gait.
TINTINS TREASURE – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 6 – JUNEE HOTEL PACE – 1760 metres
HILLVIEW SAM – Fractious during the early part of the score-up and a false start was declared, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Locked wheels with THE RINGMASTER leaving the 50 metres. At a subsequent inquiry, Driver G Cattell pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that in the home straight, he attempted to take a run between DUSTY MUSTER and THE RINGMASTER where there was insufficient room and as a result locked wheels with THE RINGMASTER. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account G Cattell’s guilty plea, his good driving record with regards to this rule, and the particular circumstances of the incident. Driver G Cattell had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days.

THE RINGMASTER – Pre-race swab sampled. Locked wheels with HILLVIEW SAM leaving the 50 metres.
RACE 7 – JUDDS HORSE SUPPLIES PACE – 2170 metres
JUNGLE SHARK – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
ITSOKAYNOTTOBEOKAY – Raced ungenerously rounding the home turn and tired over the concluding stages. Driver T Day was questioned regarding the below market expectation performance of the gelding, he stated that he was disappointed with it and could offer no tangible explanation for it. He added that he would be reviewing its current preparation with its owner.
WAVES OF CHANCE – Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-in during the latter part of the score-up and was out of position at the start. Raced greenly during the early part of the event.
FIRST FOUR LETTERS – Hung-in and raced roughly for a short distance entering the first turn.
KRISTA BELLITA – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 8 – MILBRAE QUARRIES PACE – 1760 metres
BIDGEE BABE – Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-in rounding the first turn.
MOST CERTAIN MICKY – Post-race swab sampled.
GIRL JUST FLY – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.
BLACK ART NZ – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old, and was cleared to start. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1760 metres
OKTOLOVE – Inclined to hang-in while leading rounding the turns. Post-race swab sampled.
GOODTIME JAZZI – Pre-race swab sampled.
