RACE 1 – MICHAEL BROWN PLANNING GOLD BRACELET HEAT ONE – 1730 metres

TUPELO – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.  Took no competitive part in the event.  Upon entry to the home straight on the final occasion the rein burr became detached.

SUGAR PIE HONEY – Post-race swab.

PERSONIFIED – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

SAMKERR NZ – Trainer Emma Stewart was fined $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to advise any gear for the filly.  Pre-race blood test. After racing outside the leader gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 32.4 metres with an individual mile rate of 1.53.8. 

SHE THE DEVIL – Hung out after the start.

 

RACE 2 – MICHAEL BROWN PLANNING GOLD BRACELET HEAT TWO – 1730 metres

AUNTIE LOU – Post-race swab.

THE SWIFT ONE – Hung out after the start inconveniencing ROYAL VILLA.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 14.6 metres with an individual mile rate of 1:55:5.  When questioned in relation to the seemingly below market expectations ($1.80).  Driver Mitchell Turnbull stated that the mare worked reasonably hard early before finding a position 3 back on the marker pegs approaching the 1300 metres before he elected to race in a position outside the leader from the 1000 metres. Overall he felt the performance of the filly was slightly disappointing.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow recovery.

ROYAL VILLA – Inconvenienced after the start as a result of THE SWIFT ONE hanging out.

MISS RAVISHING – Pre-race blood test. 

MAMMALS GIRL – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 3 – MICHAEL BROWN PLANNING GOLD BRACELET HEAT THREE – 1730 metres

OUR ULTIMATE ROXY NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Shifted out after the start.

I HAVE FAITH – Inconvenienced after the start as a result of OUR ULTIMATE ROXY NZ shifting up.  Slow to begin from the mobile.

KENZIE SHANNON – Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event.  Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 71.4 metres.  Given the filly had raced in the position outside the leader and its own individual mile rate was 1:58:6 Stewards advised connections KENZIE SHANNON would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

LONDON BABY – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

SOHO AMERICANO – Commenced to improve three wide from the 1100 metres before finding the position outside the leader approaching the 950 metres.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 4 – MICHAEL BROWN PLANNING GOLD BRACELET HEAT FOUR – 1730 metes

OUR ULTIMATE STORMY NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Driver Cameron Hart was questioned in regards to the overall performance of the filly having raced in the position outside the leader and seemingly over racing, the filly gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 35 metres although the mile rate of OUR ULTIMATE STORMY NZ was 1:55:8.  Mr Hart explained that OUR ULTIMATE STORMY NZ did over race quite badly and he was slightly disappointed in the overall performance of the filly.  A post-race veterinary examination of the filly failed to reveal obvious abnormalities.

LADY DELORIS – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – MICHAEL BROWN PLANNING GOLD BRACELET HEAT FIVE – 1730 metres

HUNGER STRIKE – Pre-race blood test.

OUR ULTIMATE LOIS – Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

NAMAKA – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1400 metres.

PEACE OUT – Post-race swab.

WAT EVER YOU NEED – At the request of connections the WAT EVER YOU NEED will be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 6 – LLOWALONG FARMS GOLD CHALICE HEAT ONE – 1730 metres

SPITFIRE – Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader at the 1100 metres.

RIVERA LOU – Trainer Jarrod Alchin was fined the sum of $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to notify any gear for the colt.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 60.8 metres.

HESITATE – Pre-race blood test.  Caught wide early before working forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres.  At the request of connections HESITATE will be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 7 – LLOWALONG FARMS GOLD CHALICE HEAT TWO – 1730 metres

DOUBLE IT HARRY – Pre-race blood test.

ARTIST – Approaching the 1250 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued. 

EVELYNS DRAGON – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 64.1 metres.  Given the gelding’s individual mile rate of 1:55:6 no further action was taken.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Inconvenienced approaching the 1250 metres as a result of ARTIST breaking gait.

MY ULTIMATE BARNEY – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

ITS CONFIDENTIAL – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 8 – LLOWALONG FARMS GOLD CHALICE HEAT THREE – 1730 metres

MAC THUNDER – Approaching the 1000 metres was checked as a result of JIVE MASTER breaking gait.

RED SAPPHIRE – Pre-race blood test.

MAC BON – Three wide early before working forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres.  Post-race swab.

FLASH AZARAT – Inconvenienced passing the 1000 metres as a result of JIVE MASTER breaking gait.

JIVE MASTER – Approaching the 1000 metres commenced to over race and broke gait for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 9 – LLOWALONG FARMS GOLD CHALICE HEAT FOUR – 1730 metres

FOX DAN – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

SWEET NATE – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.  Approaching the 1100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

TRIED AND TRUSTED – Gave ground over the concluding stages beaten 42.2 metres.

HEEZA MALTEEZA – Hung out under pressure and was unable to be directed into the sprint lane.

 

RACE 10 – LLOWALONG FARMS GOLD CHALICE HEAT FIVE – 1730 metres

MY ULTIMATE FREDDIE NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1050 metres.  Approaching the 250 metres hung out and broke gait for which a warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

JUNGLE DRAGON – Checked passing the 250 metres as a result of MY ULTIMATE FREDDIE NZ breaking gait.

SANCHEZ – Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader at the 1300 metres.  Checked passing the 250 metres as a result of MY ULTIMATE FREDDIE NZ breaking gait.

JACKS ULTIMATE FURY NZ – Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader approaching the 1050 metres.  Post-race swab.

SEATHESTARS – Pre-race blood test.  Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres as a result of MY ULTIMATE FREDDIE NZ breaking gait.

 

RACE 11 – ULTRA AIR HONOUREE STAKES HEAT ONE – 1730 metres

INDASKY NZ – Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader at the 1150 metres.

LULLABY NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

NICK OF TIME NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

BETTORS HOPE – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 12 – ULTRA AIR HONOUREE STAKES HEAT TWO – 1730 metres

MAMMALS HEART – Raced roughly rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued.

ALFREDJOHNCRUSADER – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres.  Post-race swab.

ANGUS FINN NZ – Caught wide early before working forward to find a position behind the leader at the 1200 metres.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to beaten 24.6 metres.  Driver Lleyton Green was questioned in regards to its overall performance.  Mr Green could not offer any explanation other than perhaps the gelding did not handle the work required in the early stages.  He felt overall ANGUS FINN NZ was slightly disappointing.

BUDDY BRILLIANCE – Driver John O’Shea was fined $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to bring the gelding up into position at the start.
