RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE – 1730 metres

General: At the request of Sky Racing this event was rescheduled to start at 6:16pm due to Doomben thoroughbreds & Albion Park Greyhounds being abandoned.

KARLOO CANDICE – Hung outwards under pressure when directed into the sprint lane. Driver Mat Rue advised KARLOO CANDICE failed to be directed fully into the sprint lane and hang outwards despite his continual efforts to direct the filly inwards. A warning was issued against the racing manners of KARLOO CANDICE. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

YARRAMAN JOLT – Pre-race swab.

UNCLE CRAIGO – Held up and failed to gain clear running for entire length of the home straight.

WHY NOTT–Held up and failed to gain clear running for entire length of the home straight.

TEN MINUTES – Post-race swab.

RATATATTAT – Fractious during the early stages of the score up. Raced roughly entering the first turn.

MAMMALS HEART – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running along the sprint lane.

RACE 2 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT RAFFLE ON TONIGHT LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

BELLAGANOOSH – Sulky contacted approaching the 1000m when the pace of the event eased.

SHE THE DEVIL – Inconvenienced approaching the 1000m when the speed of the event eased.

SOMETHING FOR LEXY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

BLAZIN CHIMES – Driver George Lee was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to come up into the position prior to the start being effected.

OLIVIA SHANNON – ($4.60) Driver Jye Coney was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 7th position beaten 17.8m after racing outside the leader from the 1000m. Mr Coney advised the mare to be disappointing and contribute the performance to OLIVIA SHANNON racing stronger opposition compared to recent starts and it would be the stables intentions to restrict the mare to racing on the smaller racing circuits within the area going forward. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

CERISE RAINBOW – Contacted the sulky of BELLAGANOOSH approaching the 1000m when speed of the event eased.

RACE 3 – ONE GROUP INDUSTRIES PACE – 2260 metres

POPS LEGACY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

LOVE WATCH – Began badly as the start was effected. LOVE WATCH will continue to be drawn right outside the draw in future mobile start events.

TISBURY ROCKS NZ – ($5.50) Trainer Nathan Turnbull was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 8th and last position beaten 15.2m after racing in the one-one throughout. Mr Turnbull advised the mare to be disappointing and contributed the performance to TISBURY ROCKS NZ racing over the longer distance & racing stronger opposition combined the quick final half of 56.4 seconds. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 4– HYNASH GROUP PACE – 1730 metres

SHAUN SHANNON – Pulled hard throughout the event. Gave ground from the 300m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 27.9m. Trainer Peter Bullock advised it would be his intentions to now send SHAUN SHANNON for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a delayed recovery.

SHARPER MEMORY– Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of home straight.

MERAKI – Post-race swab.

STUDLEIGH MELISE – Pre-race swab. Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of home straight.

RACE 5 – BEDWELLS FEEDBARN PACE – 1730 metres

MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ – No Claims lodged. Post-race swab.

SIR RICHARD LEE – Declared a late scratching at 3:39pm due to float breakdown.

IM DESIRABLE – ($13.00) Trainer/driver Mitch Turnbull was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which yielded ground from the 600m to finish in 8th and last position beaten 42.8m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Turnbull advised the mare to be extremely disappointing and attributed the performance to the mare racing further forward combined with the overall quick mile rate of 1.53.7. Mr Turnbull advised he would now look to drive IM DESIRABLE more conservatively going forward in similar circumstances. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

WATCHMEDAZZLE– Pulled hard throughout the event.

KADAR – Pre-race swab.

RACE 6 – BATHURST RSL PACE – 1730 metres

MILLIONDOLLAR KISS – Declared a late scratching at 3:39pm due to float breakdown.

PEAKSART – Raced roughly throughout the event and broke gait clear of interference approaching the 200m. A warning was issued against the gelding racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal abnormalities.

TIME TO TORQUE – ($1.50 Fav) Pre-race swab. Trainer Nathan Turnbull was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the mare compared to recent starts. Mr Turnbull advised TIME TO TORQUE was having its first start for his stable and was confident of a forward performance as the mare had trialled well leading up to the event at Bathurst on 17th March in quick mile rate of 1.55.2 & was dropping in grade. Mr Turnbull added he expects TIME TO TORQUE to continue racing consistently going forward. Post-race swab.

RACE 7 – CONGRATULATIONS 2025 GOLD CROWN WINNER PACE – 1730 metres

BARBARADAWNSHANNON – Pre-race swab.

ROYAL VILLA – Post-race swab.

VALENTINI – Raced erratically and veered outwards despite the drivers’ efforts severely checking FAKE MINT approaching the 250m. VALENTINI will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. Severely checked and broke gait inside the final 150m when CAPTAIN LLANFAIR shifted outwards.

HOPPALONGPOG – ($1.12 Fav) Trainer Mat Rue was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the gelding in gear which was not correctly declared. Trainer/driver Mat Rue was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 3rd position beaten 1.5m after racing outside the leader for majority of the event. Mr Rue advised he was satisfied with the performance as the gelding was not suited racing without cover during a quick first quarter & was second up from an extremely fast overall mile rate of 1.52.1 first up from a spell nine (9) days prior.

CAPTAIN LLANFAIR – Driver Kelvin Winnell pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) the particulars of the charge being he permitted his runner to shift outwards inside the final 150m when insufficiently clear of VALENTINI which had progressed to his outside causing that runner to be checked and break gait. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the relevant considerations as outlined with the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines, placing particular weight on Mr Winnell’s guilty plea, the degree of carelessness which was assessed mid-range & his overall offence record over an extended period of time.  Stewards accordingly imposed a fourteen (14) day suspension of his licence commencing midnight 2nd April 2025.

FAKE MINT – Checked and broke gait approaching the 200m when VALENTINI raced erratically and veered outwards. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Back in mobile draw.

RACE 8 – CONGRATULATIONS 2025 GOLD TIARA WINNER PACE – 1730 metres

REVEILLE JET – Hung outwards and veered outwards abruptly despite the drivers’ efforts approaching the 400m when the rein pole became entangled with the saddle ring checking CALM FRANCO & A TRUE LOVE. Trainer Michael Carroll advised he would undertake gear alterations upon the gelding prior to starting again. REVEILLE JET will now be stood down from racing until trialing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In not taking further action stewards were mindful of the gear malfunction reported by driver Jye Coney.

CALM FRANCO – Checked approaching the 400m when REVEILLE JET veered outwards.

A TRUE LOVE – Checked approaching the 400m when REVEILLE JET veered outwards.

RIVIERE – Pre-race swab.
