RACE 1 – TERRY BROTHERS PACE – 1609 metres

The start of this event was delayed avoiding a clash with Race 3 from Hobart.

LINE ME UP BRO NZ – Locked wheels with YA RACIN ARLO shortly after passing the 1600 metres resulting in LINE ME UP BRO NZ being severely checked.

YA RACIN ARLO – Shifted in and locked wheels with LINE ME UP BRO NZ shortly after passing the 1600 metres resulting in YA RACIN ARLO being severely checked.

HOOKED ON WINNING NZ – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

ROCKINDOWNUNDER – Post-race swab sample.

CARLA JEWEL – Pre-race blood sample. 

GENERAL – Stewards inquired into the reasons for LINE ME UP BRO NZ and YA RACIN ARLO locking wheels and being severely checked shortly after passing the 1600 metres.  After taking evidence from drivers Jett Turnbull (LINE ME UP BRO NZ), Tom Pay (YA RACIN ARLO), Matt Rue (ROCKINDOWNUNDER) and review of the available replays it was established that approaching the 1600 metres ROCKINDOWNUNDER improved to the outside of YA RACIN ARLO and as YA RACIN ARLO was steadied by its driver to obtain a position when unable to secure the lead it shifted in slightly resulting in YA RACIN ARLO and LINE ME UP BRO NZ locking runners and both runners being severely checked.  On the available evidence Stewards took the matter no further.

 

RACE 2 – TELESCOPE TYRES PACE – 2040 metres

The start of this event was delayed avoiding a clash with Race 7 from Bendigo.

SEVEN TEE TWO – Hung in under pressure shortly after straightening.  Post-race swab sample.

GOOD CHAT – Raced roughly approaching the 1900 metres before being checked when ZEUSS broke gait.

PLAYBOI ROY – Over raced during the middle stages.  Paced roughly momentarily passing the 250 metres. 

NOSAER – Pre-race blood sample. 

ZEUSS – Broke during the score up and a warning was issued.  Broke clear of interference approaching the 1900 metres.  In view of the colt’s recent record it will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

JEWEL MISTRESS – Post-race swab sample.

HILLVIEW SAM – Inconvenienced approaching the 1900 metres as a result of ZEUSS breaking gait.  Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 3 – RICE PROPERTY & LIVESTOCK PACE – 1609 metres

SPRINGFIELD DESIRE – Post-race swab sample.

WESTERN BILL – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

ANDREW SWAGGER – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

ERMINNIE QUINCE – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke clear of interference on two occasions (1400 metres and 600 metres).  Connections were advised mare will be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

 

RACE 4 – COACHMAN HOTEL PACE – 2040 metres

DEVILS BLING – Held up rounding the home turn in the early part of the straight.

KING BOBBIE – Pre-race blood sample.  Checked shortly after the start when PLEASE DONT ASK broke gait and shifted inwards.  Held up inside the final 200 metres.

PLEASE DONT ASK – Broke gait and shifted in resulting in KING BOBBIE, OUR GEORGE BOSTON, YAREADYFREDDY and MAGIC MATTEO being checked to varying degrees.  In view of the circumstances PLEASE DONT ASK will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

KEILOR BABY SHARK – Over raced during the middle stages. 

MCLEAN – Driver Olivia Frisby pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 149(2) in that shortly after passing the 1200 metres she miscounted the laps and consequently directed MCLEAN three wide and immediately commenced to drive the horse with vigour, which included applying the whip and removing the deafeners, and continued to drive MCLEAN with vigour until shortly after passing the 800 metres, actions which in the opinion of the Stewards were unacceptable.  In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines placing particular weight on Ms Frisby’s guilty plea, her immediate admissions and her clear prior record, which extended over 1163 clear race drives.  Stewards accordingly imposed a 3 week suspension of her licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence midnight 11 April 2025.  A post-race veterinary examination of MCLEAN failed to reveal any significant findings.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON – Checked and broke gait shortly after the start as a consequence of PLEASE DONT ASK breaking gait and shifting in.

YAREADYFREDDY Checked and broke gait shortly after the start as a consequence of PLEASE DONT ASK breaking gait and shifting in. 

MAGIC MATTEO – Checked shortly after the start as a consequence of PLEASE DONT ASK breaking gait shortly after the start and shifting in.  Post-race swab sample.

A DUSTY DANCE – Broke during the score up and will continue to be placed outside the draw at future mobile start meeting.

 

RACE 5 – BETTA PARKES PACE – 1660 metres

BURRABADINE BULLET – Post-race swab sample.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Held up rounding the home turn in the early part of the straight.

AIR BORN – Pre-race blood sample. 

TINNY MAHONEY – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

 

RACE 6 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 1660 metres

SHEZ A WARRIOR – Pre-race blood sample.  Over raced during the middle stages when leading.  Post-race swab sample.

LOOKOUT NZ – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 80 metres.  Connections were advised the mare would now be retired to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again. 

CARIBBEAN PAT – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 80 metres.  Connections were advised the mare will be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

CHILLAX – Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 7 – HRNSW GUARANTEED 2YO PACE – 1660 metres

COWBOY CULTURE – Post-race swab sample.

YA RACIN DASH – Pre-race blood sample. 

LUCKY BAMBINO – Raced greenly at various stages where the colt hung out in the straights and hung in rounding the turns.

TULHURST BARRACUDA – Locked wheels with MAMMALS JEWEL momentarily passing the 600 metres.

MAMMALS JEWEL – Locked wheels with TULHURST BARRACUDA momentarily passing the 600 metres.  Driver Nathan Turnbull was questioned regarding whether there was a possibility for him to direct MAMMALS JEWEL in shortly after passing the 400 metres upon improving past ROCKNROLL BLING and therefore prevent LUCKY BAMBINO from being able to shift away from the marker pegs.  Mr Turnbull explained that MAMMALS JEWEL had broken gait in two of its three prior race starts and consequently he was cautious when driving the filly particularly rounding the final turn when positioned wide.  Mr Turnbull further added that he had observed LUCKY BAMBINO to race greenly at various stages where the colt had hung out and hung in and he was cautious to ensure that he did not shift ground in a manner which would interfere with that runner or alternatively place himself in a precarious position.  Mr Turnbull added that as he improved past ROCKNROLL BLING LUCKY BAMBINO had commenced to shift away from the marker pegs and as a result he was unable to fully prevent that runner from obtaining clear running.  In all of the circumstances Stewards reported Mr Turnbull’s explanation and took the matter no further.  Re-included in the mobile barrier draw. 

 

RACE 8 – QUICKSHINE CARWASH PACE – 1660 metres

The all clear of this event was delayed to allow Jett Turnbull, the driver of second placed VINYGETSACHANCE, the opportunity to review the available replays over the concluding stages.  Upon review Mr Turnbull was satisfied there were no grounds for protest and as Stewards were similarly satisfied the all clear was given.

VINYGETSACHANCE – Pre-race blood sample.

YANNICK GEE – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the colt not having started in the preceding 12 months.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

 

RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1660 metres

TOOTHSVILLE – Blood samples were attempted to be collected from the mare however was aborted due to TOOTHSVILLE becoming extremely fractious.

NEVER HAPPY – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 54 metres.  In view the filly’s performance NEVER HAPPY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

RIDE MY HIGH – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 100 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination of RIDE MY HIGH failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the beaten margin (114 metres) RIDE MY HIGH will now be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

TULHURST TOOT TOOT – Post-race swab sample.

BEAUTIFULLY PUT – Over raced during the middle stages.
